Let's not forget that Hillary Clinton empowered & pushed Trump and sabotaged Sanders

Let's go back to 2016, when Trump entered politics and was initially unnoticed. Suddenly he got all the spotlight in the world and became the Republican nominee. Did he create all this himself?

No, Hillary Clinton deliberately and purposefully empowered Donald Trump and worked with the media to push and nominate him and eliminate his competition. She wanted to achieve two goals

1. Make Trump her major opponent because she thought that she would win against Trump easily anyway

2. she would also use Trump to use him against Sanders. Trump was so anti-socialist that he initially targeted Sanders and only later Hillary. Hillary didn't want to fight dirty against Sanders directly because she was afraid his voters wouldn't vote for her then, but let Trump do the dirty work. She decided to fight dirty against Sanders behind the scenes.

"What was not often acknowledged in Trump's heated race against Democrat Hillary Clinton, however, was how her campaign fueled his rise to power.

In its self-described "pied piper" strategy, the Clinton campaign proposed intentionally cultivating extreme right-wing presidential candidates, hoping to turn them into the new "mainstream of the Republican Party" in order to try to increase Clinton's chances of winning.

The Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee called for using far-right candidates "as a cudgel to move the more established candidates further to the right." Clinton's camp insisted that Trump and other extremists should be "elevated" to "leaders of the pack" and media outlets should be told to "take them seriously.

Leaked emails from the Democratic National Committee show that the organization, which is supposed to be bound to impartiality, sabotaged Sanders' insurgent presidential campaign, which had mobilized millions of people and inspired a massive grassroots movement.""

@chromaticainmyhead very interesting point you made and I re-linked your post. I just wanted to add, that it wasn't Biden in first place who won against Sanders but that Billionaires have chosen Biden and told Biden to sabotage Sanders and then he won, which is perhaps also what you wanted to write. The Democrats are ruled by Billionaires and were afraid of Sanders' popularity and then sabotaged him. You know, regardless of whether Republicans or Dems rule, the billionaires always win.

@Natalia Kills Also an interesting point that you made. But I think this is what billionaires want us to believe. They want us to believe that Sanders could not have won and they spend about a billion dollar to make us believe that. But I refuse to believe it.

"Trump and Clinton were the least popular major-party presidential nominees in U.S. history, according to an August poll. An October report cited Sanders as the most popular political figure in the country."  https://www.salon.com/2016/11/09/the-hillary-clinton-campaign-intentionally-created-donald-trump-with-its-pied-piper-strategy/

I do think he (Sanders) would have had a chance. I don't know if he would have won for sure, we cannot know in retropersective.  I am very convinced he would have brought a real change.

Anyway, Bernie Sanders now has won in Vermont, while loser evil Hillary has no state, in the end there is justice:party:

Sanders has won a fourth time because people appreciate him and value his visions and he does not fool people. :applause:

Harm set, harm get.

The biter will be bitten.

Honesty is the best policy. Remember that Hillary :huntyga: :bye::partysick:

I think people forget that Sanders rallies were much bigger than Trumps and the enthusiasm was insane. But honestly, Sanders is not a good leader, his fears and lack of leadership ended his movement and he started thinking short term. So the Blame goes to Bernie when he had the chance to take advantage of the rise of populism, but instead he agreed to cooperate with Democrats because he did not want to risk Trump.

She will have pushed for Trump as it would help her make her point to gain the nomination and talk down Bernie. She thought it would be a slam dunk, as did most of us, if she went against Trump and she massively underestimated Trumps pull on the electorate. Logically from her standpoint it made sense but it ended up working against her.

Harris rallies were also much bigger than Trump rallies. People hide the fact that they vote for Trump. They're not going to rallies. they're waiting until election day, coloring in his bubble, and going home.

Hillary lost because she didn't bother to campaign Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. She ruined the world, paving the way for extremism. And she might have closed the White House to women for an entire generation.

Hillary's campaign was banking on the fact that the average American would be turned off by his extremism and what was becoming of the party. Trump is a product of the Tea Party which was a reaction to Obama's presidency. In case anyone needed a refresher which it seems like... they do.

Then why are you electing a black woman to run for president if you know the country is sexist and racist?

If America is so sexist, why did Hilary win the popular vote?

If America is so racism, why did Kamala got more white votes than Biden? And why did Trump get more minority and women votes than Biden?

Edit: Im not saying racism or sexism is not a problem in America, its a big problem, but its not why Kamala lost

in 248 years of the US being a country weve had no woman voted in as president - that itself proves sexism

in 248 years we have had one person of color as head of the US - that proves racism

River

You can change the candidates as much as you want, but you can't change the people.

The fight these elections was against progressives, against anything "woke", against human rights, and they won, Sanders or anyone progressive would bring the same results.

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

I did not deny racism and sexism is a problem in America, I said Kamala did not lose because of Sexism and Racism, and I made my argument in my first comment to you.

I was really supportive of Bernie during primaries, but to this day I have yet to see good evidence he could have beaten Trump. I became really disillusioned with the super progressive left because I realized they didn't really know what they were doing. It was just talking in circles and complaining. No building coalitions and not really open to compromises. It sucks, but the reality of the party structures are not fair. Thats not ever going to change by just pointing it out. They have to outsmart the power like many groups have throughout history, but do they care to? AOC has been making obvious strides to appear less far left and yet they have been criticizing her for it like it's a huge betrayal.

I hate to ever even give the MAGA crowd points, but they fully took over the republican party. They out maneuvered and outsmarted career politicians who really were resisting Trump in 2016. I know critics will say that Trump didn't have a Hillary or DNC pushing him out like Bernie, but there's more to it than that. The American people obviously want progressive policies but are being tricked. The progressives are obviously more educated than whatever the MAGA crowd is but still can't even get close to their amount of power. It is really disappointing.
