Silly stuff really. You may as well criticize her for not winning Wimbledon in the last five years. There was a time when hit songs mattered a lot, but not so much now. There will be LG7 and then there will be a tour, and if anyone wants to get into measuring success, the success of that tour will be what matters, not whether there are any 'hits'.

The songs that top the charts most often are songs popular amongst teenagers and early 20 something’s. Gaga core demographic is not that anymore. She shouldn’t be expected to continue reigning atop the charts

I hate how the author keeps calling Disease a “return to form” single as if Gaga was trying to replicate her past sound from 2010 like Katy has tried. Disease sounds absolutely nothing like any other Gaga single. It’s FAR from the dance pop she is known for. It is a new sound for her! Maybe Stupid Love was trying to recreate the past, but definitely not Disease. Why is the author saying Gaga should innovate? She DID innovate with Disease.
