But, to put it simply, the point is not to reward a party for enabling a genocide, particularly when they don't put in any effort to convince voters that they will make a change next term. For some, an ethical vote like that trumps (lol) a pragmatic one, and I guess some voters believe that by losing, Dems might reconsider their counterproductive stance on Israel to prevent future losses. The incoming House & Senate members would be the voters rather than the outgoing. Atm it looks like a tie means a Trump/Vance presidency.
