Nicole Scherzinger and Pussycat Dolls founder settle legal battle over canceled tour

Nicole Scherzinger and Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin settled their three-year legal battle over the girl group’s canceled reunion tour.

Attorneys for Scherzinger and Antin jointly filed court documents Friday in Los Angeles stating that the “parties have reached a settlement in principle, subject to the execution of certain written agreements.”

 

According to a source, Scherzinger, 46, and Antin, 63, “actually came to a resolution months ago but needed some time to formalize the details.”

In response to Friday’s filing, the court canceled a jury trial that had been scheduled for Dec. 9 and replaced it with a hearing on Jan. 28, 2025, to dismiss the case.

Robin Antin sued the Pussycat Dolls' singer in September 2021 for allegedly refusing to participate in the Pussycat Dolls’ first tour in a decade unless the frontwoman was given complete creative control and 75 percent of the profits.

Nicole’s attorney called the suit “meritless” in January 2022, stating that Nicole had simply asked to renegotiate her contract after the COVID-19 pandemic repeatedly delayed the concerts, which intended to promote the group’s comeback single, “React.”

That same month, Scherzinger announced the tour had been scrapped altogether — much to the surprise of her “incredibly disappointed” bandmates Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta, who claimed to have found out the news via Nicole’s Instagram post.

In August 2022 when Scherzinger filed a cross-complaint against Antin, accusing the choreographer of mismanagement and misappropriating funds, which she denied. The countersuit also alleged that Antin paid another entertainer, Pia Mia, more than $100,000 to be PCD’s lead singer.

Nicole just won an Olivier and will very likely win a Tony. She’s having a major career moment. She’s not going on tour with no Pussycat Dolls.
