I'm always taken aback when people AREN'T amazed by space exploration and the absolute potential our species has to not only learn so much but to become a space faring species that will outlive our planet.

Imagine by the time we're old people will be visiting Mars regularly! Maybe we'll have ventured out even further!

I wish I could visit Mars or really space in general  the infatuation I have with that huge universe beyond our home world is one of the defining parts of my own personality

This is such a vague question, it's so difficult to judge the person based on the answer. Would I theoretically like to be in space, see the Earth from above, and maybe other planets? Yes! Would I actually want to take all the risks that go with it? Not sure. Am I into space colonization? No.

This is a complicate issue because with the money invested in space research we could end poverty in the world. But the same would happen if we stop military expenses etc, so I am not brave enough to open that can of worms
