Now that I saw the video, I'm rethinking my interpretation of the song.
Is the song sung by all her fears/monsters/negativities trying to seduce her into giving in by promising they will cure her?
Is that why she runs away in the end after the mask comes off?

I'd like to think that the masked (notorious?) being is Gaga coming to terms with all of her struggles, as she said in IG. And the way that being also has flannel visible on her wrist (3:05 in the MV) for me it says like she's the fusion of all of her.
