For the most part I agree with OP

 

Only thing ill point out is that Gaga is not Sabrina, Chappel or CharliXCX

 

Sabrina and Chappel this year were being discovered by the masses. Rising artists are typically always less imediate as ppl discover them

 

As for Charli, she simply isnt a big enough A-List celeb to ever debut big, id call her more of a B list. Anything she releases will naturally need time to be discovered and need promotion to have a hope of getting big

 

Gaga on the otherhand is a long time established A List celeb. Her stuff should generally debut higher and be discovered more quickly. While that doesnt prove a slow burn strategy cant still work, the comparison is a bit apples to oranges I think.  

 

Also keep in mind Gaga is approaching industry age limits on when artists (especially women) tend to smash and is not an it fresh new it girl fresh artist anymore. Hype spreading naturally and more organically while not impossible is definitely more challenging

 

Lets not forget its been 11 years (Applause) since Gaga had a bigger solo hit that isnt a collab. She doesnt build hype alone that easily anymore in mass scales without assistance. This is not shade btw, its acknowledging reality
