TEANUS 12,372
Something curious is that Gaga’s channel had 190 videos before Disease MV and now it has 192. DWAS Live is on Bruno’s channel only so it’s not that Edited October 30 by TEANUS British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS
Nite 4,745
Spoiler I don't know where to put this but so far I've been avoiding all the negativity which just hit me like a ton of bricks in another space. Didn't expect that. It always kind of hurts when, as soon as something isn't instantly smashing with big numbers commercially, "fans" start screeching "flop" and "failure" in its direction. I had the same feelings about Harlequin and it makes me realize that maybe the fanbase isn't the space for me anymore. The video very much feels like it's for us. The GP ain't gonna spend time dissecting it, although most people I've shown it to have been liking it just because they never know what comes next. She doesn't really go backwards.

The whole concept and the horror elements scream night and dark, so i am sure that the decision to make it during the day is for a reason, do you have any ideas? I think it wants to show that, contrary to what we believe, our demons are mostly shown in broad daylight, rather than in the shadow. It creates an antithesis. Horror is found where you least expect it. I have also noticed that when the first Gaga crawls on the car there are a few cars coming and going. She is surrounded, yet no one cares about helping her. JoeCool 154
I liked it. The concept of battling one’s demons I think. The music video really went well with the song. Before that I was in the middle on the song itself

Crazy idea, but maybe it's her way to neglect her way of thinking back then ("You're the medicine --- I need to heal the way you make me feel" / "I'm gon' be manicured" / "Man cure! Heal me, cause I'm addicted to love") in the way that there's no better way of healing that facing your inner demons instead of looking for a man to heals you from whatever you're going through. Maybe that's why in the video she is fighting against that Gaga and at the end she seems to reconciliate with the "monster" that is chasing her. Levine 22,366
Being a GUNCLE I made my nephews of 6 and 5 years watch Disease's video. The 6yo one ran aways because he said he was scared, the 5yo told me to play it again because he loved it lmao 10 3 1

It reminded me of her performance look of Dope at the YouTube Music Awards. That performance aired sometime after her split with her manager and that performance and that time in her life must be among the lowest she's ever felt.
Fck I luv Art 883
Oh I have a new theory about the snippet. "I could be your guide, I'm your zombie bride" make sense Well I started to read Divine Comedy bc I always wanted to read this book cause I love esoterism themed books and bc of the LG7 rumours (but I'm still at the beginning of the book cause I have other books to read for my studies...). When Dante arrive to the purgatory, he find back his beloved Beatrice who died earlier. She will replace Virgil, who guided Dante when they were in Hell. "Zombie bride" make sense cause Dante's lover Beatrice died but she became his "guide" to heaven. Dante want to go to Heaven to purify himself. On first watch, im not sure I love the cinematography, editing, costume and choreography. But I find myself constantly rewatching this. My favourite scenes are the blind bar dancing and the final scene with the walls closing in. There are a tonne of great shots. NGL I kinda hated the black gown look but perhaps that's kind of the point that it's not meant to be aesthetically pleasing. All of this. I love the cinematography tho. I have to admit I dislike her Chromatica and Disease looks, especially the makeup.
Arcanum 4,842
I am dying to watch a meme video like the one created for Kesha's Joyride.
