I think there was a point around about 2019 when she just wasn't singing well. She was unhappy at the time, that's public knowledge, and I think her voice suffered, and the nasally sound kinda got the blame, but I think it was just that she wasn't in good shape. Now she's back singing well and that nasally sound is all over Harlequin, and I love it. PI wouldn't be my favourite song either, but I think the problem there is that she is a bit shouty rather than nasal.

I like Disease, don't love it, but I approve of the aggression. It isn't safe or sweet, she's having a go. Looking forward to the album. I expect some gems.

People really need to go outside and enjoy the world more. It's a song, not a death sentence. I'm sure there will be something on the album you can enjoy. If not, there's always Rain on Me and Paparazzi to go back to

I know what you’re saying. Fame, Fame Monster and Born This Way albums were the unmatched pop iconography of Gaga.

It nearly destroyed her health (wanting to impress us). So we should be grateful for those eras. 

Chromatica and some parts of ARTPOP are still pop excellence, but Bad Romance and Born This Way are still the songs that pound across the globe. So does Shallow, and that’s where Disease comes in…

I do love Disease and I think she has perfectly married a little bit of what everyone likes, in this song.

There’s no drama though, it is just a lead single with small debut and no promotion. Even though it happened before some people still hoped for big debut. And hence reactions. It will dissipate once it’s clear what’s the ambition level for the album, I guess it will be very soon

This is why things like chart placements and box office results shouldn’t be made public. Who gives a f uck how it charts on the second day, and what does that have to do with the music itself?
