There is no promotion, and we haven’t heard from her at all. It’s unlike her. This is expression of concern. she was posting fan tiktoks on her IG, she's obviously happy and excited to see fans engaging with the song mother, what must i do? Do you think millions of dollars are thrown around for funsies? It’s business. exactly so there's probably a plan in place, so just WAIT and SEE omg mother, what must i do? Real Panda 7,585
I just want to say that though I like charts success, I have stanned Gaga since the beginning of her career. And I am okay with not hitting #1. I mean Gaga only has 5 Hot 100 #1s in 16 years of her career. Its not what I come to expect from her. What I am sad about is the total silence on her socials about the anticipated LEAD SINGLE of a new POP album. Even Harlequin, something people considered a side project had more promo and social media posts from Gaga. Die With A Smile had a song and MV release within the 1st day. I am streaming the hell out of Disease but it would be nice to see something from Gaga that she's excited about this song or album era or a countdown to a music video or even a photo still of the music video. I dont know, something. Chromatica singles felt like an event, both Stupid Love and Rain On Me, and 911 to a certain extent. 1
InsomniaMonster69 3,064
The negativity here is wild. Gaga released a Dark Pop song we asked for and it's the best lead single since Bad Romance (I said what I said!) and all you have to say is you can't enjoy a song that isn't a commercial success? Get a life. Grow up. 1
Murakami27 842
Was the rumour about the lead single being swapped with a new video filmed true? Was Disease the eventual choice? Or wasn’t it not true?

The promotion for Harlequin was off the charts, and the promotion for this single has been next to nothing. Why would LG6.5 get more promo than the lead of LG7? If the intent was to release a spooky lead single before Halloween, where are the visuals to support it? The promo? THIS is Halloween weekend. The gay community is at the clubs this weekend. What is the strategy here? But who said this release was meant just for Halloween? Don’t you think releasing the MV right before this weekend would have made the song’s interest with the public also peak with this weekend and holiday? Releasing the video after would show that hey, this is not just a Halloween song, it’s Gaga doing dark pop again. It seems like bad marketing to release a song JUST for a 1 day holiday.
ShayCristoforo 10,511
The video better come soon Releasing after Halloween is a missed opportunity Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time. 1

steven 5,381
i am actually not surprised by these numbers. I like Disease but quite frankly, the chorus is not catchy enough. Plus the lack of promotion from her team is not helping.

Released 2 weeks before pandemic hit and yet we didn’t get a single performance or TV interview. And yet even SL got more promo so far than Disease has so far Yes and it debuted at 5 and said bye, no longevity whatsoever. Listen, I can respect people wanting more we all do, it’s just that some of us don’t see why we should panic already. That’s it. The reception to the song has been incredible by both critics, most fans and casual listeners. I am not sure why it dropped this much other than it being a Saturday but at the same time not all hope is lot. The reality is she is an older act, she can’t pull the numbers new pop girls do that easily. I am sure this era will succeed, we literally always, and I mean ALWAYS win in the end, we always get a hit somehow and things are good. Look at DWAS, literally came out of nowhere. Shallow too, Million Reasons too, etc. My god now that you mention it. Million Reasons was the thread that this fanbase was hanging on for a WHILE. And I'm forever thankful to that song for that.
