I dont know why ppl always say this.

Success literally impacts future era budgets, and it solidifies our fav as a bigger legend. Of course we care

She’s a powerhouse artist that sells out concerts, sells massive amounts of records, receives constant praise from legends (as a legend herself) and is a household name. Interscope would drop any amount of money for her because they could never afford to lose her lol. It’s not that serious

People can tell us we’re overreacting or whatever, but I work in marketing. The promotion for Harlequin was off the charts, and the promotion for this single has been next to nothing. Why would LG6.5 get more promo than the lead of LG7? If the intent was to release a spooky lead single before Halloween, where are the visuals to support it? The promo? THIS is Halloween weekend. The gay community is at the clubs this weekend. What is the strategy here?

HelloHangoverz

maybe she's just more hesitant about diving head first when it comes to pop because of weird stan behaviour

A song as good as Disease should be hitting the top 10 of the charts. Bobby has got some work to do this week to even have it top 15...

People are confusing chart success with promo.

I’ve seen hardly any posts complaining about the success of the song. What people are complaining about is the lack of engagement and noise from gaga herself.

None of us want another era treated like chromatica and rightfully so.

All she has to do is release the MV, give some performances and interviews and 99% of fans will on here will be happy even if the song doesn’t crack top 20. Gaga used to be all about the experience and that’s what ppl want alongside good music.

Side note: I’m worried we’re not going to get a dark MV for the lead and it’ll be boring

Mmmmmm...no Ellen that's not the truth :laughga:

People are complaining about both. 3/5 of the threads in Trending Today all discuss Disease's chart performance. People are complaining about the lack of promo and how that's affecting the song's chart performance. Yes, if there was more promo for the song people would be complaining less, but they'd still be complaining because the song isn't #1 everywhere.

I think a lot of us need to have faith in Gaga & her team and what they envision for this era. LG7, sonically, is a return to form for Gaga and it's clear that they know what fans want to hear from her. I don't see why that wouldn't be reflected in the promo too. We'll see what happens this week; I anticipate more promo and the music video by the end of the week.

Do you understand marketing strategy? Because this ain’t it. Longevity comes through slow drip and repetitious advertising. You have to keep the public’s interest. People clearly love the song. It’s a hit. But if people don’t have it in their face all week, they’ll forget about why they like it.

Is the strategy debuting on 25th and stay stable at top 40 for 2 additional weeks? 'cause thats what we're looking at. If it is, props to them for succeeding I guess!

We are not, it’s just that some of us are not concerned because we don’t feel like we need to yet. It’s a difference in opinion I guess. It’s her lead single, CLEARLY something must happen at some point unless something happened behind the scene ( which I doubt ). Her team is most likely trying a strategy here, they are not acting uninterested for nothing. People genuinly believe she put her lead out and stopped caring? Or that her team has no plan? It’s absurd.

Do we remember SL? Released 2 weeks before pandemic hit and yet we didn’t get a single performance or TV interview. And yet even SL got more promo so far than Disease has so far
