Imo that’s making it to easy and putting all the blame on CR, which doesn’t work for me.

 

my bad analogy aside.. shouldn’t we WANT checks and balances? Everybody’s quick to sympathize with Britney and her treatment by the media - how is this different? I applaud CR for voicing her opinions and standing up to it even DESPITE it potentially damaging her career - power move.

Could she handle things better? Sure - but come on, she’s young and just got thrown into the limelight in a way that she never expected and we can’t even begin to comprise. So cut her some slack and show some kindness and humanity. I know I wouldn’t be able to handle it in a way that would please everybody!

And if you want to continue sh!tting on her.. well you do you. Just be prepared to be called out for it

I really don’t feel like her pushing back against these things is that bad. All I ever see is people complaining about her but why should she have to put up with this just because that’s how it always is? She doesn’t owe you or anyone else a certain behaviour just because she got popular

This is not an agree/disagree with you situation - your comment was problematic and yes - it has misogynistic sentiments. That’s on YOU though, so owe up to it and educate yourself if you want to be better

This is part of who she is. It is clear she has no interest in placating to what is considered acceptable behavior for celebrities. She has made her boundaries known to those who are trying to exploit her.

Sometimes I have found what she has said in situations to be head scratching, but I do not and will never feel bad for parasitical paparazzi being told off and people demanding respect.

Are y’all mentally okay? Since when is it not okay for a woman to stand up for herself in an industry that is known to take advantage of especially women? I’m so sick of the “that’s the industry she chose to be in” comments, as if that somehow validates the way she and other celebrities are treated. God knows if Gaga did anything even remotely similar you’d all be “yaaas queen”-ing her to death. Weird ass hypocrites.

I like Chappell. And I respect her for wanting to stand up for herself, but she is also annoying. She needs to learn to pick her battles.
 

Was the paparazzi rude? Probably yes. Does she deserve an apology? Sure. Should she proactively pursue it? Not really. Its like her ego is so SO easily bruised by other people she becomes unstable by it. You don’t know the paparazzi, they should not have that kind of power over you. She’ll never see them again, wont have any sort of relationship with them, they don’t mean anything to her and vive versa. It wouldn't even be a meaningful apology, yet she’s dead set on looking for it. All this just seems like her projecting some kind of personal anger on others when the person she should be conforming is herself. 
 

i just wish her the best so she can stand up for herself in ways that wont deplete her energy unnecessarily and hopefully in a more effective way

I feel like you're just trying to create a narrative about me here.

Nothing i said was mysoginistic. I just responded to your terrible abusive boyfriend analogy.

I would have the same opionion if Chappel was a man cause a person who keeps complaining is kinda annoying, regardless of their gender, period.
