I feel like this describes what it is to be a Gaga fan. It's usually a good and rewarding challenge with her. 

I love how she's challenging herself, too. She's always played with her vocals, but it's really fun to hear this latest iteration.

The meaning of the song completely changed when Gaga said it’s directed to herself. When I thought it was an ooky spooky sexy love song I thought it was basic but singing to oneself? Inner demons? Oh… honey, it’s haunting af.
