I absolutely love it. Not sure if GP can click with it though. I really hope they do because honestly it taps in the same vein as Unholy by Sam Smith and that was a huge hit. Lets see

The production is a welcome surprise but the actual songwriting underneath is very basic and absolutely not good enough at this point in time when her peers are consistently coming through with artistry :smh:

The pre-chorus and finale are genuinely great though. Sadly that's no longer gonna cut it with today's audience.

I genuinely like the song a lot. It’s not her best lead single, but it’s way better than most of the ones she has put out in her career.

The song kinda gives me a mix of Perfect Illusion and Bad Romance. And the vocals/melody of the chorus reminds me of P!nk. The production has a lot of dense layers (which I personally LOVE) and it’s nice and heavy. She is also going back to the “Gaga formula” in terms of how the song is structured. It’s also very Halloween-y!

Overall, I would give it a 4 out of 5! I am VERY excited to see her go in this direction. I’m sure there will be even better songs on the album and I cannot wait 😭

Love it and it's still growing on me the more I listen. Her vocals sound so versatile.

To me it sounds like Government Hooker x 2024 Gaga with a sprinkle of Caroline Polachek

Even after all these years, I still can't believe how this woman managed to stay this unique and produce such a masterpiece. This is the Dark Pop masterpiece we've been waiting for! I didn’t care much on the lyrics because the way she presents them is so unique that it sold the song to me. Her strange screams, the new vocal style she’s experimenting with, the production everything is 1000/1000!!! I never lost hope in her. I was right. Once again, she’s proven to be the best artist alive.

I absolutely love it! The background vocal melodies ( ah-ah)  is the highlight for me!

those ah - ah vocals, are for us!. we need to sing them with our last breath on the tour.

This song slaps.

I can’t with everyone who asked for dark pop gaga back when she literally serves Bloody Mary on crack you all cry and say the GP won’t like it

ive been a fan since 2008 on this cult site and this is exactly what everyone said about Bad Romance too

also some of my friends who don’t love Gaga to the level I do are literally eating it up saying it’s old Gaga, she’s back, it’s amazing etc

I am not even thinking about chart performance, who cares, we are talking about Lady Gaga. Chart performance literally doesn’t matter anymore. Enjoy the damn song

Yes I agree. How will this ever measure up to such all time classics as “Espresso” and “Woman’s World”
