Here you can become a member of a party if you want, and parties have info about who's donated to them, who's pledged support during phone banking etc,  but it's nothing like the party registration data y'all seem to have

For those of you not from the US, it’s important to note states are like mini-countries with their own laws and regulations. 

In my state, Texas, you don’t register as part of a party AT ALL and during primary season we have open primaries which means you can choose what party’s primary to participate in without needing to do anything except show up.

You don't even have to look at the polling, just look at how the campaigns are behaving.

Kamala's campaign continues to go meet the voters where they are whole Democratic ground games have been ridiculously strong in every state, particularly in the rust belt. 

Meanwhile, Trump is already setting up one delusional defense after another about "vOtEr FrAuD" and going to states he'll never win like New Mexico and Virginia. Those trips are either to say "see? My internals showed us winning those states, there must be fraud!" or it's simply his campaign getting him in front of an inconsequential audience 'cause every time he's at a rally that matters he makes an idiot out of himself. Also his ground game is this ramshackle BS built by Elon Musk and some other freaks who's name I forget and clearly it's not working 'cause Democrats are CRUSHING them with new voters despite their advantage in new registrations
