MOT 3,608 Posted October 27, 2024 Share Posted October 27, 2024 Without going into the weeds on numbers, logically Harris should beat Trump easily because, long story short, you need swing voters to win and he is a guy who attempted a coup d'etat and she is not. That could still be the outcome. I am not predicting that that is going to happen, but I think it is possible. It would fly in the face of both poll numbers, which say it's a toss-up, and betting numbers, which show Trump as a clear (although not heavy) favourite. However, betting numbers can definitely be manipulated. In a world where Elon Musk has been offering people fortunes to vote for Trump, it is absolutely credible that he, or some other rich guy, is betting large amounts on Trump to make it look like he is winning. I know less about polls, but I have heard it suggested that averages have been skewed by a large number of right wing polls slanted towards Trump (and the polls could also simply be wrong rather than manipulated). Bear in mind that if Harris wins Trump WILL try to steal it, and he will cite the polls and the betting as evidence that the result is fishy. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
