God how I wish some of these numbers would hold. 42/37, Democratic lead in Florida? A dream

I swear if this state doesn't at least finish closer than 2020 I'm sinking it myself

Pennsylvania though :bradley:

64/27, Dem :bradley:

Also not 90% of early voters in Texas being 65+...young people, what tf are you doing?!

Dems will be the majority of the early mail in voters

reps like to be traditional and go to the polls on the official election day

we just have to outnumber them either way

Trump is winning Florida, I've seen 3 Trump shirts to 2 Kamala shirts now :bradley:

It was a shirt saying "they can't kill me" or something with his picture on it :laughga:

Just remember - this is early voting - Dems are always ahead - but 2024 they are vastly/moderately behind versus previous elections and Republicans are vastly/moderately ahead verses their position in early voting in previous elections.

just a reminder

I honestly don't think this is accurate for TX. Not even the amount of ballots cast seems accurate just based on the numbers I've seen. Just my own county had 120K votes cast today so 133K for the whole state is NOT correct.

Edit: Just checked and this site is only reporting the mail in ballots for TX, hasn't updated for in person voting!

Tbf I’ve seen that a good portion of 65+ voters nationally are breaking towards Dems, but it is also TX so…

keep in mind this is not accurate. They cannot count the actual ballots until evening of Nov 5th. This map is only counting by parties the voters are registered in. Who may or may not accurate with the actual party that they voted for this election.

Yeah, I saw the same for Florida. Today was the first day for in person here so that makes sense. Can't wait to see the updates

I'm voting tomorrow

We know but considering Trump is getting at least 90% of GOP voters and Kamala's getting at least 96% of Democratic voters and we basically know how independents are breaking it's a good sign of who's up or down atm

Elections in the USA are so weird. Voting on paper AND ahead of time? What the f-ck?

Other weird things: voting is not mandatory and the counting is not based on the majority of votes. And then the great marketing this country does: "we are the pillar of democracy" as if :huntyga:

But hey, let's see what happens, of course I'll be perched and watching all of it

Each state and actually each county can conduct voting differently.

Where I live for example we vote on a machine but it also prints out a paper ballot so there is an electronic record and a paper ballot for confirmation.

The counting is based on the majority for everything except the presidential election. House, Senate, and everything else is based on majority.

I'm clinging to Allan Lichtman so hard :fatcat:

His prediction is meaningless to me :neyde:

He still considers incumbency to be a strength and that's just not the case anymore tbh

California is a huge state. While it is stereotyped as being democrat (understandably), it has a lot of conservative parts. Some of the areas around San Diego are a good example.

Yikes at my generation. :( I hope this situation changes come November 5th. I will likely be voting on the day of the election. (For reference I am in the 18 - 29 category.)

The fact that each state or county can choose different methods makes it WEIRDER. Here in Brazil we have a neutral national agency that overlooks the whole process in the entire country, with state-level agencies and city-level agencies. All 5.570 Brazilian cities use the same machine provided by this agency, we have extensive measures to avoid fraud, like printing the count of zero votes at the beginning of the day to prove the machines aren't pre-programmed and everything, then at the end of the day another receipt is printed out and sent to this agency to count. EVERYONE 18+ and -60 is OBLIGATED to vote (with a blank option) and we find out the results in the same day. I always follow the U.S presidential elections and I'm always baffled. It never feels right, idk :laughga:

HelloHangoverz

Are polls still neck and neck?

edit: just checked, a 1.7 lead in national polls? (My knowledge of current US politics is what I get from surface level googling)....that's good I suppose but still mind boggling given who she's up against.

Availability is not weakness

He didn't give the incumbency keys to her though
