I’m hyped don’t get me wrong but hyped in a very different way to before. Shallow was a very unexpected pre-era/lead single and the jazz singles were never going to smash commercially, but I’ve always been excited but equally worried for chart success. Whereas now I’m not. 

I think I’ve always been worried she wouldn’t smash commercially with PI and SL, but now she’s got DWAS thriving at the moment. This way, I kind of don’t mind if this doesn’t smash commercially and if it does, it’ll be a super cool bonus. I just want the stylistics, sound, look, everything to be enjoyable and on point. Plus having DWAS/Harlequin/Disease makes this all so exciting and enriching of an experience.

Man, the amount of fake attemps that got on youtube trying to figure out what she sang at the VMAs would sound like with music 😂 and AI did not exist yet. And I remember so damn well hearing Born This Way for the first time. Friday Febuary 11th, there was a snowstorm in my hometown so my school was closed and I was abble to start my day with the tune in the basement of my house on full volume on my family computer. I'm so nostalgic I could cry right now 🥹

Her being this quiet in these final moments completely backs up how she’s been when discussing this album in general. She’s constantly been very, very evasive and vague when answering any questions related to it.

I think they are following DWAS promo formula, keeping it lowkey before release so the song can have longer momentum afterwards, which is rare these days

I think the silence is a good way to not interfere with our appreciation of it. It's good that it will not alter our first impressions. Later we can let her intellectualize it all on interviews like she always does. I absolutely love how nerdy she is about art and how deep she can get talking about it.
