I'm a Kylie fan but she has never been an album artist for me. Every record has some of the best pop songs you've ever heard, but also a quite a few tracks that I would consider filler. Maybe with the exception of DISCO, which is great from start to finish to me.

Tension 1 and Tension 2 also have a lot of interchangeable tracks in my opinion, but there are big bops too. Just not many career standouts.

My favorites from both records combined:

1. Padam Padam

2. Story

3. Hold On To Now

4. Taboo

5. Kiss Bang Bang

6. Hello

7. Tension

8. Dance To The Music

9. Hands

I think these will be the only songs I return to.

My Oh My is the only one that works.

Happened with Tension for me where 10 out of 10 wasn't playable.

The singles of Midnight Ride, Dance Alone & Edge of Saturday Night still work

I think I’m one of the few people who don’t like this album. Everything sounds basic like those royalty free music. Like 143?

She should stay away from gay voguing beats as well. They cheapen everything.

I kinda had this thought listening to it as well, cause the songs are kinda void of emotion, which I feelt on like Fever, LY, BL and Disco. Wish she did more songwritting ala Golden and Impossible princess to sick beats, but that's just me haha

I like it a lot more than Tension I. Not on the level of DISCO though.

But so many good bops!

Good As Gone, Taboo, Someone For Me, Hello, and Kiss Bang Bang are favorites.

Her old music is so timeless. I know she can do better!

I disagree, I feel her emotion in her vocals, the inflections and pauses in her voice. Maybe the lyrics are just basic? But I would say basic songs with zero emotion are pretty big right now considering how well Brat is doing  :ohwell:

I like this. The bonus tracks are not on my Apple Music but as it is it works.

I still think the first act had me more on the edge of my seat. There are many real jewels there, like Hold On To Now, which is clearly the daughter of The One; One More Time is one of her funniest, good vibe tracks; and what can I say about Story and Just Imagine...

yet Kylie has had that IT factor in her veins, and I say that with all the bias possible cause I've been tuned into this woman for 15 years. she knows how to make good pop music no matter how generic the formula gets, cause she adds just the right spice to it. It's very different from, for example, what Dua Lipa was able to achieve with Radical Optimism, cause the songs just hover on top of your head and don't really get somewhere. Kylie has displayed for decades that even the mainstreamest pop can be worthwile and enjoyable, and we love her for that.

Kylie is just fun. She never promotes her music as some high art etc or sets ridiculous standards in the previews. Her whole ethic is just "I had fun and i want you to have fun". You genuinely can't go wrong with that.
