I literally don’t get this overdramatized reaction when it’s obviously an edit that nods to the original poster. Charmz 3,866
I can see how some say she’s over reactive (don’t disagree) on the other hand. this film, its theme, and the actual character of Elphaba are extremely significant to marginalized people and I understand that the marketing choice to include her as Elphaba and intentional as it supports driving the actual intended statement behind the story. also people criticizing her looks are disgusting Always & Forever, 🧚🏻♂️🦉CHARMZ🦉🧚🏻♂️

But beyond the typical AI smoothness there's no actual bodily changes to her appearance - they've just moved the hat & changed her lipstick colour to match the poster it's copying (and copying badly). And the changes to Ari are just moving her hand into a significantly less stupid position. 2) She didn't go on a massive attack about AI edits as a whole having hours before shared AI edits of the poster. It's hypocritical.
thatfoxyfeeling 12,683
I thought she was referring to the AI post on x where Ariana is asking "Is your p*ssy green?"
djBuffoon 11,997
She has a reputation of pulling stuff like this for years, ever since she broke through on the New York stage, and maybe even earlier when she was performing on the West End. Superbly talented woman but, as others have pointed out, she is very easily triggered and tends to post her thoughts to a huge base of people who couldn't care less.

4BLAiNE 959
It’s feeding into these kinds of narratives that really just makes a complete circus of anything actually worth getting upset about. It’s a poster edit. For gawd’s sake. No one is erasing anybody. If this were given any actual credence, then any poster edit ever made ever that doesn’t include the persons entire face would have to be labelled the same. It’s absurd. Imagine living a life so blessed that this is the kind of thing you have time to write a thesis about. Edited October 16 by 4BLAiNE
StrawberryBlond 14,087
Clearly just trying to keep the poster as close to the original as possible, as any diehard fan would want it. It looks strange to see her full face in the new poster as we're so used to seeing the brim of the hat cover the eyes. It wouldn't look unusual if we'd never seen that original image but it's become an iconic sight so of course fans are going to feel the new one looks "wrong" and seek to "correct" it. The eyes being covered creates a sense of mystery around the character and increases interest as to who this character if for anyone who doesn't know what the poster's for. When she said she'd been erased, I took it to mean someone had edited her completely out of a poster in order to make Ariana look like the star but to see it was over this...overreaction doesn't even begin to cover it. And if a harmless fan edit is "the most offensive thing I've ever seen" then she's been sheltered. Try saying that to someone who's had to watch hours of harrowing crime footage for their career in the criminal justice sector. Some people really need a dose of perspective particularly in the state the world is right now. 7 hours ago, cacaca said: I'm sorry but if you look at her track record she's got some very questionable morals and ideals. I'll never forget her ripping into UK towns and cities and basically saying she was above them when she did UK tours of shows. Not a nice lady. Seriously?! What did she say? 2 hours ago, pachinko said: She is going to bring down Wicked’s box office numbers by millions with her nonsense. Exactly my thoughts. Actors being above it all during their movie's promo trail puts a really sour taste in the public's mouths. Look at what's happening with Blake Lively right now. It's hardly harming the success of her movie but maybe it would've been even bigger if she wasn't acting like such an insensitive mean girl.
