There is a market for expensive candles, Diptyque and Le Labo are pretty popular. Personally I’d never spend that much on a candle though, it’s kinda ridiculous.

Luxury candles exist and the market is huge. Say, take a walk to upscale department stores in your area, you'll likely find some of them. Say a Fornasetti candle that cost $350/piece or Baccarat candle & Truddon Reggio candles that cost $660/piece and $700/piece respectively, for example.

I make my own candle and it costs like 5-6€ to make a giant one lmao. + I use non toxic soy wax, great perfumes which are expensive.
