Borisapillar 8,277
The Fame Monster is pop perfection. The album, the era, the fashion, the music videos, the tour. All legendary. I love Born This Way but it had some rocky moments.

Anderson123 35,919
Born This Way easily. The Fame Monster has Bad Romance and Dance In The Dark and all of it’s 8 songs are great but Born This Way’s first 8 songs are monster after monster song (yes, even Americano and Hair) and then again with Heavy Metal Lover all the way to The Edge of Glory is 10/10. Decodekid 26,790
They are a great tie I won’t discuss between these two Long Live Gretchen
The Fame Monster 3,865
Born This Way, just because it has more songs and maintains a consistently high quality throughout, just like The Fame Monster. If The Fame Monster had more tracks while keeping its current level of quality, it would be a much tougher choice. juicyjuicy 1,734
Honestly they are neck-in-neck for me (and often I flick between which one is better and my opinion changes over time), but Born This Way comes out slightly on top. Both are iconic and amazing albums, but here's why Born This Way wins out slightly over TFM: - legendary / legacy - it has a moment in culture and helped to shift the needle/conversations around LGBTQ+ people, inclusion and belonging around the world (TFM didn't really do that, but it had some nice soundbites during the tour and laid the foundations for Gaga to be able to speak out about such 'taboo' issues at the time, despite it only being 13 years ago) - cohesive in terms of theme, sound, looks throughout the whole era (whilst I get there was a loose 'fear of' / 'monster' theme, and it was quite a dark pop sound overall, TFM's sound wasn't as cohesive - a lot of the sounds on the album are actually quite different from one to the other) - it established her legacy as one of the best pop performers / artists of our generation (again, TFM laid the foundations for this) - debatable, but I (and a lot of her fans) would say BTW is her magnus opus - the album is a bit long, but it is hit after hit and honestly I think any of the 17 songs (even the deluxe ones) could be a single (TFM is shorter and still hit after hit, but to have 17 non-skip songs back to back is iconic)
