Fact: movie is not BAD.

Fact: it underperformed in the US, not globally.

Fact: Fans and non-fans are enjoying it, not bored.

Fact: Reviews do not define if a movie is good or bad, it's just their opinion.

You need to form your own thoughts about it, not solely based on reviews or box office, thus obtain some media criticism... Every critic has been exaggerating like it's the worst movie ever, but it's far from that. :bye:

This feels like ARTPOP hate train era, everyone should honestly touch some grass and stop bashing the movie for no reason.

If you’re gonna post facts please actually research what you’re posting.

It underperformed globally as well.

I disagree

Joker fans dislike this movie because it took what was established in the first movie and threw it in the garbage. Joker fans wanted to see Joker, who accepted 'himself' at the end of the first movie and in this movie we see the opposite trying to push that persona away but also not but also yes he's done with it but also is he?

It's called FAD - madness of two, if I recall, suggesting that it is going to heavily focus on Harley and Joker and yet where is Harley?

This movie is not disliked because they are comic book incels who dislike musicals like so many delusional people on this site keep trying to push. Even if we give that consideration, the musical aspects of the film were disjointed from the story, boring with them mostly just sitting around, happened randomly and suddenly and didn't flow or fit into the movie at all, and Joaquinn can't sing.

This is shading ARTPOP, this is far, far worse.

This is a bigger flop in terms of its reach. Everyone will hear about it, since it was hyped to be one of the biggest films of the year. It was mostly pop fans that knew ARTPOP has flopped, for the GP Gaga has disappeared from the radio for no particular reason.

BUT it will be a smaller flop for Gaga in terms of impact on her career. She is still one of the most streamed musicians in the world, will still be offered new roles. Her name is too big and respected for JFAD to ruin it. Joaquin is safe too. Mr Philips tho.....

It's wild to me because didn't Venom have truly awful reviews and came out around this time and smashed the box office and didn't have all this hate train? Why is this film having so much negative publicity when poorly rated films come out all the time.

Venom has 80% audience score on Rotten which means people liked the movie, unlike Joker 2…

One of the largest and nicest movie theater in my area is only playing it for another week. With like 1-2 showings a day. They immediately took it out of RDX too and replaced it with The Nightmare Before Christmas.

So you don't understand the movie. Heard. And that's okay.

There was loud complaining the second we found out it was a musical and that complaining hasn't stopped yet. And I didn't mention incels, even though they're also whining that the movie didn't cater to them, soooo

Final domestic weekend numbers:

Joker FAD: $7.0M - 81% drop at #3

1. Terrifier 3 - $18.3M

2. The Wild Robot - $13.5M

these are Warner's estimates, final numbers are coming tomorrow
“Joker: Folie á Deux,” which topped the box office last weekend, collapsed in third place with $7.055 million from 4,102 theaters. It could end up in fourth place, behind holdover “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” once the final numbers are tallied on Monday.

Well… a big lesson for the industry. Dont mix thriller with musical lmao :icant:

That’s not the lesson. The lesson is to make a good movie  Joker 2 could’ve worked if script was better and more interesting
