I really hope people remember this and by people I mean this site too, when trying to ridicule her character. No one is perfect and she has some questionable actions like any other person but when things count and matter the most, she always shows up, more so than most artists, that’s why she’ll always have my respect.

What, she didn't even post about it - it was the recipient. Taylor doesn't need to make charitable donations for PR, she is doing more than fine commercially even with messy public relationships, the jet controversies and overexposure. And sorry to drag but 5 million isn't pocket change even for a billionaire. Honestly the Taylor hate on this forum is a little off-putting. This is not the ethos Gaga would want to promote.

I mean, even if it was "pour la galerie", it would still be helpful for a lot of people. I personally don't care about whether or not she's doing it "to look good". It will positively change people's lives, regardless.

This sites hate boner for anything she does is certainly something. She's been donating massive amounts to food banks, local charities on her tour stops, relief funds and GoFundMe purposes her entire tenure as a pop star and almost always does it privately unless the organization announces it.
