Chlorine 47,975
I thought this was a gorgeous film, itâs brilliant. I didnât quite care for exactly how the ending played out, but it doesnât make me love the film any less.
HermesGr 1,136
The start: wow. Excellent idea. First half: c mon shes acting really good (finally) second half: hmm became a bit b movie. Finale: what an early 90's slimy slime was that? For me: the concept too much potentials but the final product 5/10
hELXIG 41,587
Went to see it tonight and it was so good! I'm actually kinda glad I went on my own so I could just focus closely on the movie. God it was good! The themes are glaringly obvious so I won't go into detail about them but one thing I liked is how they portrayed the desperation, and what the characters were willing to risk for beauty. Everything about it was so good. The camera work, use of colour, soundtrack was amazing, the performances, special effects, everything. The use of food! The ending definitely took a left turn but I liked it! Somehow it worked. It was campy and over the top but still felt right Oh also I didn't find it that gross or disturbing.. maybe there's something wrong with me  there were a few scenes I just turned away slightly but most of it was not that bad. People were saying that others were throwing up in the cinema etc like... come on, it's not deserving of that kind of reaction.. definitely not scary so if you're like me and avoid horror movies don't worry. If you can handle special effects gore and needles then you'll be okay I'll be myself until they fōcking close the coffin. 1 1

Every shot said something and the sound effects were chilling. Also, the audience was the most lively one I have ever seen. Some people even walked out because it was so messed up, and I would take that as a compliment for such a film. @Helxig Please go see it in theatres. I saw some people went by themselves at my screening and I thought nothing of it. Although, you might need a hug after watching this so I will send you a virtual hug now. - I went to see it on my own and it was brilliant! Also the cinema was celebrating it's birthday so tickets were less than half price so that definitely sealed the deal. So glad I saw it at the cinema and not at home!  I'll be myself until they fōcking close the coffin.

Cavadour 2,011
Watching Alien Romulus and The Substance the same night, I was thinking about The Penguin series - (Colin Farrell, wow!) - and the way they put the main character in the heart of the action. That's the kind of role I want Gaga in. Even though she could be a perfect Sofia Falcone, she'll be a better Oswalda in a Batman Caped Crusader live action, tbh! Now we know she can be madly in love, cry and even sing in a movie, why don't you, directors and producers, lazy w@nkers offer her a real wicked badass role in the next one, please ? Late to the party but I got a diamond heart

Fantina 3,270
Just seen it, and I am speechless. I hope this movie finally gets the horror genre the recognition it deserves from the awards committee. This year has been FANTASTIC for horror. I can't remember a year that had this many GOOD horror movies. I almost feel spoiled, though, because I don't know when we'll have another year as good as this one Until then, this is Elvira saying unpleasant dreams.
VTV 12,574
I just finished watching it. I AM SHOCKED. Growing up in the mid 2000s was exposed to gore and 90s slasher films but this. This is something I'm shocked it shocked me.

selenalavigne 1,433
Idk how to put spoilers. This movie, I really liked the middle part. The beginning and the end were OK. It had a flair to it, I liked. I liked it. Iâm not sure if I would watch it again due to some scenes. But itâs worth a watch. Yeah. This movie is straight down my alley. I thought about so many things while watching, but itâs one of those movies that actually guides you to think things that are connected to the movie instead of going there out of desperation to find depth in the movie. Are there plot-holes? There are. But this is the kind of movie that almost always has plot-holes and gets away with them.
