Honestly Rep is likely to be her best selling TV edition. There's no way Tay and her team would miss out on having the blockbuster first week from sales & streams combined.

Plus Taylor's got a massive listener base on streaming but not necessarily high per song streaming figures

It being announced they are pushing it a month so soon to release heavily imply a logistics error. Probably shipping or something. Labels don't shift entire album cycles because they get word someone else is releasing on an already defined and established date. I don't know why people keep thinking things like that. There are far too many things in motion to suddenly move that because they learned X is putting out an album on the same day,

Joe Jonas also had an album scheduled for the 18th and it got pushed.

Yeah but his doesn't have a new release date. It essentially got canned so he could add more to it with his "newfound inspiration". 
Like the lead single in July didn't chart, the latest single from the 4th October didn't chart. 
The album's been shelved.
