A topic very near and dear to my collecting heart is wheatpaste posters! As many of you know I've been collecting them and ripping them off walls with boxcutters since 2011  and lo and behold, someone APPROVES OF THIS BEHAVIOUR

 

Yesterday, Gaga (who seems to be spending loads of time on TikTok) was caught liking this post:

Comments like *this* one make my heart soar, because it shows that the hobby is spreading to other little monsters!

they are such a joke. they have ZERO concept of supply and demand. If they had brains in their heads, they'd sell these so fans don't have to steal them in the dead of night. I mean if I was in charge of their company, I'd make sure overages were printed to sell to hardcore fans who want to decorate their homes. Even at $50 a pop it's just insane profit.

If I had to guess, it's because there isn't a large demand for prints this large, I mean I have no idea where I'd put more than 2 of these on my walls

I have most of them indoors, vertical, in my closet. Pressed flat. A few I've kept rolled up. I have 2 damaged Hold My Hand and Die With A Smile ones that I need to restore with time, hot water, and a washcloth. I then plan to give them to my best friend @danbekim
