Teletubby 133,099
Some celebrities who risked being caught up in the allegations against Sean 'Diddy' Combs have already settled with victims in an effort to keep their names out of the spotlight, according to an attorney on the case. Tony Buzbee told TMZ major celebrities are scrambling amid concerns they could soon face serious allegations themselves. The attorney did not specify who these celebrities are, but did confirm that they are major household names. Buzbee said he has sent out demand letters to other celebrities and high-profile people in an effort to give them an opportunity to quietly settle. He explained that his firm is looking to implicate anyone involved in the cases, not necessarily only those who allegedly directly assaulted someone. When the law firm initially announced the upcoming lawsuits, they explained that their office fielded thousands of calls with allegations against Diddy. They worked to narrow these down to 120 which they have decided to legally pursue. Buzbee acknowledged the concern that some of these accusations could be false or seeking money, but he emphasized that they office is working diligently to vet the accusers and their stories. The lawsuits are expected to start dropping this week, but Buzbee explained that the big names won't yet be released. Instead, the first of the lawsuits is targeting corporate entities which allegedly helped facilitate the sex crimes that Diddy was accused of. Later, the celebrity suits are expected to drop, according to Buzbee source source Edited October 7 by Teletubby ⸜(• ◡•)⸝♡🐀💨🚽 1

skaxboy 4,341
I am curious to see who is on this and how this all plays out. Any kind of SA is horrific to me and people who commit these atrocities need to be held accountable. Consenting adults engaging in whatever act is one thing, but to abuse someone just because you are a celebrity is wrong.
HelloHangoverz 15,538
This just sends a message that Hollywood abuses people because it can "afford to settle". Is that not the wrong message to be sending? How is that reassuring to survivors of abuse looking on? my head is filled with broken mirrors, so many I can't look away 4

LilyLark 9,862
This whole thing has devolved into some Q-Anon style sh*t. Diddy threw hundreds of parties a year. Not everyone who went to a party knew about his stuff. Three quarters of Hollywood used to go to his white parties, even icons like Aretha Franklin. I get that it's easy to say everyone knew, because of 50 Cent, but....it really doesn't seem like this was widely known. Obviously, f*ck the predators, but it sounds like the lawyer is saying he sued people who just...went to parties and might not have even known about the rape parties. Bronco 5,406
The way this lawyer is behaving is making it clear he's chasing a payday not any actual justice. All of his tactics are the classics of "hit em with a threat knowing that they'll pay a decent sum to make you be quiet even if you have little to go on". It works because bad press around these issues stick like a ****ing oil spil. Way better to pay off someone so they can't speak on anything and keeps your name out of the press, than fight a highprofile case knowing your reputation is ruined no matter what.
