I think she really meant that people shouldn't criticize art and that no one should tell anyone what their art is, and if the movie isn't doing well it could be for a number of reasons, in fact, there's one in particular, Phoenix is a complete self involved person, just that one interview where he was asked what it was like to sing with Gaga, and he responded "well to me she's Stefani, if she brought that lady Gaga energy it wouldn't have worked" little does he know she brought that energy, it just wasn't what his little straight man brain could conjure up KDE|801artistry 2 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I havnt seen the movie yet because I'm disappointed at the amount of screen time she has. and i don't care what anybody says, that was not only a stupid move but very deceptive promotion. I'm happy but not surprised that once again her acting is being praised despite a subpar script. They need to stop wasting this woman's talent. She is the manipulative bish. Could she have a vbit more backstory why? Yes! Could there be a bit less music? Yes! But the film is nog bad. I even get why they cut the full “That’s Entertainment” scene. Most music was in Jokers mind. So why would Gaga give him up to the police with a showtune. The number one reason for disliking the film as a person who watched for Gaga’s performance is that she doesn’t have one. She was marketed as a co-lead and in reality is only in a fraction of the movie with so little character development and nuance that she is more of a stunt casting than a pivotal component of the film.
