Wow that's awful. How could she look at that script and think it was a good idea is beyond me. You gotta be careful with your projects. It's fine for someone who spits out 2-3 movies every year, but Gaga has to balance a movie and music career. Can't afford bad flops like this.

blaming her for liking a script that gets changed and chopped up post filming is wild :deadbanana:

the movie probably sounded promising in the initial phases, it's not her fault if the higher ups changed things along the way

mother, what must i do?

Plastic Flower

The word-of-mouth stans lost big time here. :stupidoreo: It's not Megalopolis levels of failure but it's not great for a 200M budget movie.

Let me clarify.

Its kinda disrespectful to her that you make comments like this. If you see the film and listen to how much of her soul and talent she's put into this its not really her fault 1, how its edited 2, how its marketed.

Its also evident that this project was extremely good for her creativity and her happiness as a performer.

This film is good, the first joker was also panned by critics.

But in the end does it even matter?

Charts, critics, numbers. they. do. not. matter.

The good thing is, she's first a foremost a singer. So she can recover. Nobody talks about Taylor in Cats for example. And Gaga already has hit movies under her belt

Girl she was paid 12 million bucks and had no control over the final edit. You have no idea what happens behind closed doors.

If you care about numbers so much, go join Swift daily.

Shyane

The movies is not doing well but it's not going to affect Gaga much. Most reviews actually complimented her acting and Joaquins's of course. They very much blamed the director and the musical.

I care about the quality first. Numbers are second. HQ is good despite its poor numbers and mid critical reception. This movie is just not good, though it's not her fault, she didn't direct or write it. But she is still a part of it.
