‘Dance in the Shadow’ would be an appropriate song right about now

Can’t help but feel this being the lead single would be deeply meaningful and symbolic for what it’s feeling like off the back of FAD reviews and audience reception.

I just hope that Gaga will keep this incredible new spirit and happiness that is clearly exuding off of her at the moment going despite all of this.

Rather, I know she will❤️🙏

Totally agree, out of all the snippets we heard so far, Dance in the Shadow is deffo the best for GP and it would be perfect as the album lead.

Though I would love if Gaga released Dance in the Shadow as the lead, and a week later she could release Abracadabra just as a promotional single for Halloween.

That'd keep us all fed until January for the next single!

Honestly, Gaga has only a role in the movie, is not a personal project of her, and considering things her true personal project (Harlequin) is not going that bad, at least critically. She's pretty fine, I don't see her in the shadows of anything.

Yeah I think everyone is a little too dramatic with this story.

I'm sure she's disappointed to see the bad reviews, but no one said anything about her acting, which is the most important, so let's not all act like Gaga will fall in deep depression

I think she was disppointed the moment she watched the final versión, and I doubt she's much surprised by the reception. I somewhat think that Harlequin exists because of that. I think is her way to show her view on a character severely underdeveloped

She has gone through this before with ARTPOP so I’m sure she knows that a flop movie doesn’t define her. Time to move on. LG7 let’s go!!!!

You can’t be an actor without having some movies “flop” that’s part of it. Even the biggest stars have been here many times. Just look at Babylon , considered a flop. Yet Margo released Barbie a year later and it was a hit. Chill out you all sound like those obsessed parents who only want their children to get As and if they don’t means they will fail.

Can people stop this patronizing bulls*it thinking Gaga is all depressed at home because of the negative FAD reviews? For god's sake, it's just a movie, not the end of the world :saladga:

Gaga made LG7 at a very happy time in her life and we've heard from recent interviews that she's very much in love with Michael and feeling the best. I don't want the focus of the lead single to be about this please. She did her job, she shouldn't be feeling depressed about the audience's reaction to something out of her hands.

Just to clarify, this thread was a gentle nod towards the concept of making the best of a tricky situation (which is only something I interpret from the lyrics we have heard). It isn’t meant to insinuate she is depressed at home or that this is a major catastrophe for her.

It is clear every project, especially as an actor, is deeply meaningful to her and that this character has sat with her beyond the film. So it’s understandable that this moment could be disappointing, but I was merely saying the song’s lyrics seem weirdly apt to that situation.

It’s not that serious everyone❤️

When she said I wasn’t done with the character and I wanna explore her further we should have known that meant she’s barely in the movie :ladyhaha:
