I think the real reason she decided to record that stellar jazz album, Harlequin, was because she wanted 'her' version of the movie and thought the movie was not as good as she also hoped for.

All what is happening is so unexpected that is hilarious! I really thought the movie was gonna be critically acclaimed. Just wow...

I personally loved the film as did everyone I went with (Just Joker fans) Gags did her all as always and quite literally made her era out of it before it was even released, we good. If Taylor can still be the queen she is after Cats - there isnt a movie critic in the world that can actually damage a womans stride.

I lowkey hate this album already receiving the similar ARTPOP treatment.

Like both projects can't even have a breather and be in the present without some insane negativity thrown towards it agh.

The way that I havent seen any katy perry threads since this movie came out and is being panned harder than 143. Karma for half this site dogpiling on her for weeks on end (justified or not). And now seeing how fun it is to be on the receiving end on that kind of dogpiling.

Weird response... at least Gaga isn't  supporting a r*pist

When will your fave?

Lmao Gaga is my fave, I don't give a **** about Katy, I can just see that people used that reason (again justified or not) to spew endless hate and then hide behind moral superiority, like come down of your high horse...

It’s better than Suicide Squad for sure. However it is roughly on par with BvS imo.

But remember cinema score is not like a critical review. It is also not solely this parabolas scary “comic book fan” rating it. It’s all audiences, fans and GP alike.

These letter grades are not meant indicative of a films quality. It’s indicative of how the audience felt about it. They’re not saying that this movie is better than movies that got a lower score than a D or worse than movies that got a higher score than a D, they’re saying that the audience is who saw this film on opening weekend, when their opinions were averaged, is reflected in this letter score.

This is the scorecard that audiences fill out. As you can see it collects a lot of info, it’s not simply thumhs up or down.

Al that to say, we cannot blame this all on the comic book fans. They alone are not capable of giving a film a D on Cinema score. If they were then the two movies you mentioned above would have a worse cinema score than they do. For it to be this low the general public also had to hate it.

Thank you for sharing that:hug:! It's really cool to see how they do that and their science behind it all. :holdmyhand: Im hearing some people already call it 'woke' and right out spoiling the ending in the comments on Tiktok. jeez people what the french .:samanthac:

Saw it last night. Didn’t hear 1 sigh , nobody left the theater early. Idk if you guys are just lying for clout or you went to see it opening night full of DC joker fans because this “reaction” you all keep talking about I’m not seeing at all.

This thought also occurred to me. I'm sure the reasons for the companion album are more complex than just that, but this is certainly an intriguing possibility to add to the mix.

Her performance hasn't been panned which is the main thing. It's more along the lines of why was it made etc. etc. and it being generally boring. Not seen much that rips into her acting ability.

Just came back from watching it, all I can say it's no masterpiece but people are really just hating for no reason, the film is good. The hate it has gotten is literally the same attitude Lee had about Joker.

I just saw it, its a good movie. Not for the masses, but I was invested the whole time. The acting was brilliant, the storyline was absolutely okay too
