At this point it would just be best if Gaga books/announces her next acting role in January as we have the DWAS hype and soon-to-be LG7 lead so when award season comes people will be talking about her music and next film more than the fact she isn’t nominated.

The truth is Gaga has been in three films that were all expected to be critical successes, and only one of them has been.  She needs to land a major role in a truly critically successful film or series soon to be taken seriously as an actress.  After ASIB everyone thought she would be one of the few people to make the jump from music to acting, but the follow-up work is beginning to look questionable, or even remembered for negatives (even if her Harley is amazing Joker 2 is panned, and most people just remember memes and the accents from Gucci).  Even with ASIB her songs are more remembered than her performance.

Ideally I’d love to see Gaga take on a film like that’s a simple drama with no music (like Marriage Story), an award-worthy comedy (similar to Jojo Rabbit or The Favorite), or a mystery/crime piece (something like Knives Out or an Agatha Christie adaptation).

Gaga add life to a terribly written character. One of the better scenes of the movie is driven by Gaga, but that character is so underdeveloped that honestly I don't know why they bothered to cast someone famous...

I don't see any noms or awards, but at least she did good enough to avoid the razzies.
