Auralegends 4,863
After listening to the movie soundtrack, I'm happy Gaga made the Harlequin album as a companion album. The way she sings is so different on the soundtrack compared to Harlequin/her normal singing. I get what she meant by saying she developed a singing style for Lee, it is much more emotionally and fragile. Soundtrack = dynamic, Harlequin = Vocals Edited October 4 by Auralegends 3 1 3
GAGASEXUAL 3,457
Harlequin of course
dracomalfoy 644
I prefer the versions of If My Friends and Close to You that are on the soundtrack, love her more fragile and soft vocals, and the context of If My Friends makes the song even better, probably one of my favorite scenes from the movie Chromatic, Chromatic, put your hands all over my colors.
TinyGa 332
TBH seeing FAD last night made me understand Harlequin better and now I’m excited to listen again and to check out the soundtrack too.
Nick34 10
I do like the vocals on the FAD soundtrack. It’s a shame the soundtrack doesn’t have full length songs of most of it. So for the songs I prefer Harlequin
doppelganger 3,861
The soundtrack is amazing but I'm glad we got Harlequin as a companion album.
julz 5,618
There is also Hildur's score...but i know it's not something for comparison...just saying we have 3 albums for Joker 2 which is cool
TimotheeChalamet 4,703
So many musical numbers are under 2 minutes. I'll never understand the "there are too many musical numbers and they are overlong and redundant" comments I'm seeing online lol 5
MEM 2,971
I think Gaga really needed to make Harlequin for her own personal fulfillment. Imagine singing all these great songs but not in your real voice... she was so not done yet! I am SO happy this album exists. Every arrangement is pure FIRE. 3

Awrah999 4,018
Harlequin made so much more sense to me after hearing the songs in the film. I think I was a little surprised by the number of jazz tunes to start off the album but realized throughout the movie almost all the tracks are in the film but are shorter and obviously sung different. I’m so glad we got Gaga’s full voice on Harlequin with very unique takes on some of them. I do enjoy the Close To You and Folie A Deux soundtrack versions for their haunting and soft/cute vocals that are in character. I also love Gonna Build A Mountain and the Harlequin version is just AMAZING with the harmonies but loved that Lee was able to do some great singing on her version too with different harmonies. Such a great contrast between the two albums. I will have them both on vinyl sitting pretty side by side in my home
Red 94,892
The soundtrack doesn’t work outside the movie, the production is too somber and the songs are too short, at least in my opinion If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
Oriane 19,826
Harlequin makes so much more sense after seeing the movie. The songs from the soundtrack are obviously from Arthur's perspective, and Harlequin is from Lee's. The music says a lot about each of their characters. You popped my heart seams, all my bubble dreams
rafaelgherardi 735
'That's Life' is exactly the same or just very very similar in both albums? it's the only one that's not totally different, right
