This naming scheme for me began relevant when Rihanna put R7 on Unapologetic, although I've seen members of the BeyHive claiming they were referring to 4 as B4. I feel like for our fanbase, it started with talks of LG5. But it’s not really a new concept… for instance, Kylie Minogue’s 10th studio album was called X because that’s how her fans used to refer to it, and that was in 2007. 1
jackweller 293
Nothing went wrong. Most fans just don’t consider her albums with Tony as part of that equation but they’re still part of her discography. And with TFM officially released as an EP and her albums with Tony included, LG7 really is her eighth studio album overall. So in that regard Wikipedia is right. Yes, we know TFM as LG2 but nowhere in that name it says that LG2 is a studio album. It was after all released as an EP/reissue. RAMROD 103,612
Wikipedia is NOT Gaga. Gaga sees TFM as a full album, she called it a full body of work, hence that is LG2, and again she marketed Chromatica as LG6, it was literally branded on merch like t-shirts & pants, and then now, she sees Harlequin as LG6.5 and so be it. Why is it so hard to understand? Anyone else's personal opinion on it DOES NOT APPLY here. TF, TFM, BTW, ARTPOP, Joanne, Chromatica makes 6 albums, so now we are on LG7 Edited October 3 by RAMROD

Narigudinha 56
Gaga herself has said she sees The Fame Monster as her 2nd algum, so: The Fame - LG1 The Fame Monster - LG2 Born This Way - LG3 ARTPOP - LG4 Cheek to Cheek - LGTB1 Joanne - LG5 A Star is Born - Soundtrack 1 Chromatica - LG6 Love for Sale - LGTB2 Harlequin - LG6.5 (because it is not technically a studio album, it is a companion album to the movie) Joker: Folie a Deux - Soundtrack 2 And then, next february, we'll have LG7. * Ps: House of Gucci soundtrack doesn't count because it doesn't contain any song recorded by her in it.

TheARTPOPball 91
5 hours ago, darkgaga said: Haha well not according to Wikipedia. I also count it like this, but I was wondering why it is so inconsistent Its inconsistent because TECHNICALLY, the fame monster is not an album, so people who are outside of the fandom don't count it as one despite Gaga saying a thousand times over, that she considered the fame monster to be her sophomore effort
Greg August 143
that confused me too when i started listening to Gaga technically TFM counts as an EP although there are many albums (specially nowadays) with less than 30-minute lenght that are considered studio albums... anyway, we know it's a whole different era, ignore wikipedia, she drinks
Gardevoir 9,581
It’s been proven that she considers TFM a LG2 by her standards. Sugar, spice, and everything nice.
RudraCNG 14,274
I feel like it's a conversation that started at some point before Joanne, when everybody refered to it as LG5 (we still talk about "the original LG5" for the RedOne songs). But yeah, it's indeed a technical question since TFM it's an EP. However, it has nothing to do with The Fame, it had its own tour and its own era, so it's LG2. Oh, Gaga... You really should've included 2 or 3 more songs and end this discussion
JustTea 4,001
14 hours ago, eifulien said: UGH, I'm sorry but I just need to vent about Wikipedia's mess. Like, guys, seriously, who is in charge of her discography page? Can we just contact them and have a normal conversation about unifying it once and for all. I have just opened the Harlequin page and it's BACK to showing it as a soundtrack album, which IT IS NOT. There's already the OST for the JFAD. We'll hear tomorrow the actual sountrack but I bet the renditions will be quite different from what's on Harlequin. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't remember the fandom or Gaga referring to ARTPOP as LG4, because she revealed the name for the project quite early in the process. This naming scheme for me began relevant when Rihanna put R7 on Unapologetic, although I've seen members of the BeyHive claiming they were referring to 4 as B4. All in all, naming her albums retroactively as "LG(number)" it should be LG1 The Fame LG2 The Fame Monster LG3 Born This Way LG4 ARTPOP LG5 Joanne LG6 Chromatica LG7 coming up in February This naming scheme, while quite straightforward and reflecting on how Gaga sees her pop music output, isn't going to be reflected as easily because of the mess that was the release of TFM. She and we may see it as a separate body of work, Interscope was super messy and greedy to release it as a deluxe version of TF, then it was an "EP" (at 34 minutes, sorry but it's an LP), then it was actually it's own thing with a second disc containing The Fame. The sales of these two albums are combined so for a Wikipedia article it makes sense to combine them and consider TFM a re-issue of TF. How can we separate the sales for each album? I doubt it's possible, so this mess will remain in her discography. Wikipedia considers CTC and LFS as part of her main discography, because they are studio albums after all. So following that logic Harlequin is also another studio album of her. She refers to it as LG6.5 as a preamble to LG7. In that sense I guess we could integrate CTC and LFS as LG3.5 (around ARTPOP) and LG5.5 (around Chromatica) - CTC was recorded alongside ARTPOP if I'm not mistaken and LFS was before or during Chromatica 2018-2019. All in all Gaga has 6 pop music projects (the main ones), 3 jazz/traditional pop ones so that's 9 albums. LG7 will be her 10th album overall. Plus, three soundtracks - A Star is Born, Top Gun: Maverick, Joker: Folie à Deux. It's blessing and a curse to have TFM combined: A monstrous album that has 40M copies (SPS units) sold and one of the biggest albums of 21st century. But if they were count separately, they'd be around 20M units each, which would make her other album units look less-abysmal compared to TFM and her whole discography would look more stable... 4 year old pic that shows the gap in 2020:
