CroatiaGeisha 19
I couldn't give a **** on what he really thinks, but I need to point out that his journalistic writing is terrible. :smh:
Americano 31,061
I think most of us just would like to have more faith in people than that. Lol, I totally get that she's been gone for quite some time, but there's also a perfectly logical explanation for that (she's been on a world tour for almost a year now--one that's doing HUGE numbers, too, and is by all accounts incredibly successful and lucrative)--so to pass her off as a has-been is either lazy or biased reporting. Not to mention her uber-successful perfume launch. The only gauges we have to measure Gaga's relevancy right now very clearly indicate that she's doing just fine, and to write in a way that suggests otherwise is just tiring in its laziness. Other than that, though, I have no problems with bad reviews. To be honest, the show has always looked a bit underwhelming to me, so I'm not totally surprised by the few negative reviews that have been cropping up. She did fade musically with Marry the Night, so he has some grounds to say it even though the album itself sold fine. If she wants people to overlook it and think of her as a huge megastar again, then she'll just have to release a new single. Until then, expect the criticism and "irrelevant" claims. Shadow 6,477
The tour has done exceptionally well for her to be "faded off into irrelevance" and being without an album to promote for a year and a half. Also, did you forget how well her fragrance, the Fame, sold? And by what measure are we saying relevance, because we know she would not be on the radio without something to promote. With nothing to promote, nothing to win awards or perform elsewhere than her tour. Oh yeah, she did perform for the President and she got asked by Mick Jagger to perform with Rolling Stone a while ago. HeavyPunkLover 2,120
Lady Gaga after 4 years earn with her tour the same as a legend like Madonna... AAAAAND SHE'S FADING. "Just because you know my name, doesn't mean you know my game"
Americano 31,061
The fact fans are so insecure about her success now is a statement on at least the limited accuracy of the writer's claims.

Haus 152
The fact fans are so insecure about her success now is a statement on at least the limited accuracy of the writer's claims. I love how she went from everywhere to nowhere in less than 4 years and you guys are expecting people to NOT think she's faded off into irrelevance. What? What is there to be insecure about? the BTWB is grossing over $200 million and sold out stadiums WW so she's obviously not 'faded off into irrelevance'. Just because MTN flopped doesn't mean she's done. She'll release the new single and ARTPOP and everything will be back to normal. She still gets talked about in the media, whether it's negative press about wearing fur or positive press about the Born This Way Foundation/Born Brave Bus. This article is just from an undereducated fool who probably expects a GaGa concert to be the same kind of experience as any other shallow pop star. It's not. bumblebee 2,528
I love how she went from everywhere to nowhere in less than 4 years and you guys are expecting people to NOT think she's faded off into irrelevance. You forget she did that on purpose. Facts: she finished 2011 as the second best selling artist in the world, and as the best selling american act worldwide, sold over 2,000,000 copies of her new CD in the USA, landed another No.1 hit, played her first stadium shows in Mexico, was the second most played artist in UK and won 2 VMAs. In 2012 she embarked on touring and decided to take herself from the media spotlight. It was a self-intention. She nevertheless played an amazing worldwide tour with her biggest solo concert so far(Paris), and explored many new territories. She is projected to finish this tour to become just the second female artist to place 2 back-to-back $200M grossing tours (guess who was the first one). She then enjoyed a very successful perfume launch. Don't forget she was constantly working on ARTPOP. 2013 has just started and even some fans think something's wrong while everything is OK. Please accept the fact Gaga will never be as hot again as she was during 2009/2010. IT'S LIKE SEX: YOU CAN'T HAVE THE FIRST SEX TWICE. Adele is hot now cause her second album captured the attention of public: much like The Fame Monster did for Gaga. Such things always happen in the beginning of career. It takes being a real true master to repeat them in the further career periods. There is no need to think Gaga is out because other artist get played on radio, become the hosts of TV shows, shoot documentaries or get Grammy nominations. Non of her contemporaries can declare her/himself such a touring force, or an act with such a broad worldwide appeal. The fact that she was silent in the USA doesn't mean she is nowhere now. It's blasphemous
Shadow 6,477
Also, this notion of relevancy is subjective. Of course, she would be more relevant and pertinent to us, her fans, than some random column writer for a newspaper. Insecure about success? She was number 14 on the Forbes list of the most powerful women in the world last year as a pop star who was 4 years into her career. Lady Palutena 3,142
This article just reeks of bias and ignorance, I can't even...I'm not even gonna read it. Just by skimming it and the responses on the thread I can tell it's nothing but negative bull**** They need Goddonna. You should buy them a copy of MDNA :derpga: Adoremus in caelum, Palutena. Torsoface 3,262
Too often she didn't assert her voice during songs, letting the recorded backup singers carry the choruses Well that's true though. You can't even hear her singing Judas or Born this way chorus (expect the last one). I just don't understand why. Oh well, Born this way choreography is damn hard, but she sang it perfecty at the Grammy's so... And Judas is not even that hard. And Alejandro is pretty much just background vocals. The Monster Ball Alejandro >>>> And if you think i'm a hater, no. I was at the BTWB and it was the best night of my life.

Galactic Mess 1,393
Meanwhile, Gaga remains unbothered amidst her second sold-out and soon-to-top-200-million-dollars-in-grossing tour. Its gotten worse as the tour has gone on. She's probably very tired... Let's hope she recovers after the tour...
