I am sure she delivered an amazing performance but I saw some audience reviews blaming her for the musical aspect (so stupid lol). I hope it doesn't affect her public image that much. Not at all, there’s literally nothing to complain about for her performance in the movie bias aside. LG7 will be fine. luna’s advocate

I think the movie won't affect her image. Like it or not, it's a very niche work (mostly superhero fans) and that people will watch, draw their conclusions and move on. She doesn't even seem very interested in continuing this for long, since we will still continue with LG7 until the end of the month. Besides, her portrayal is being acclaimed and she has the success of DWAS plus Harlequin as positive things alongside this whole experience. eddyjeddy 1,295
I was hoping they kept that certain scene of Gaga, you guys know which one I also watched it in imax, some parts were landscape then musical parts suddenly maximises the screen - is this a thing or im just chromatica track 3 the first word But in the cultural sense, I just speak in future tense
eddyjeddy 1,295
I left the cinemas with ppl bashing the movie in a negative (well that was a movie) way but can hear people say (well poker face girl was amazing which she had more screen time) or say Gaga ate etc But in the cultural sense, I just speak in future tense

I've watched maybe eight reviews on youtube. One was middling and the rest were negative. In ALL cases, part of the negativity was a complaint that she wasn't used enough. Super 891
I’m happy with the say they kept the scene at the staircase. Rhythmically speaking an upbeat musical number with dancing and all during the plot’s dramatic peak would be just another reason for people to call it a mess. That’s Life would also lose a lot of it’s power, tbh. I wonder how it would have worked, though Edited October 3 by Super

And it’s NOT as bad as people think it is 😭 from the reviews and the meltdowns I thought the movie is a mess from the beginning till the end.. anyways I’m gonna give my spoiler review once I figure how to use the spoiler tag but overall I can say is Gaga, I’ve never been so proud of her and her performance, I cried during particular scene. I love her so much 😭 The film is great. The reviewers just don't get it. It's not unlike an art-house film in storytelling. Todd as a film maker truly has something to say about society, and Joaquin is phenomenal. Gaga too. Mark my words, we will look back at that this film with fondness, and it will become a cult classic. 1
Easy 5,240
I think the movie is brilliant and my explanation contains spoilers. Spoiler The whole movie was about how Lee and everybody only loved Joker but Arthur. This movie is so brilliantly made because it makes the audiences who complain that this isn’t the Joker movie they expected one of the people who didn’t care about Arthur as well. If you think about it this way, it makes so much sense. People enjoyed the riots and unrest Joker brought to the city. The first movie became so big because of how it connected with our world and WB wanted another one. When the title was announced people expected a movie about Joker and Harley committing crimes like a crazy couple. The protest scenes were shown so that people think there will be some sort of revolution in the plot. Then boom! The movie premieres, it is all about Arthur as a person, people lose interest. Maybe there are flaws in editing or pacing, maybe it is going to perform worse than the first one but it is a perfect art piece that pulls audiences into the narrative. Takox 275
A question for the people who have already seen it. Does the movie have many action scenes or it's more focused on Joker's psyche and life in Arkham? See the world with me

It’s mainly a courthouse drama — that rehashes plot points from the first film to make the audience take another look at Joker’s psyche.

And to me it's moreso an exploration of different perceptions — how Lee, he himself, and the rest of the world see Joker and his actions. Definitely not an action film. It's pure drama.
