Enough With Complaining! Time to Zip It Up

It’s baffling how bratty some of us can be, always finding something to complain about, always dragging her down. People are riled up over an album we didn’t even know existed two days ago, and now there’s endless chatter about whether x overshadows z—completely unnecessary chart talk from the most conservative, rigid perspectives. It’s just music. Enjoy it, or don’t. Move on. Constructive criticism has its place, but how about we hear the work first? Let’s see where this goes.

I couldn’t be more thrilled that she’s taking bold, confident steps with her music. She radiates strength, creativity, and ease, making her moves feel both spontaneous and meticulously planned. 

And if all goes down, so what? Grab a book, discover a new artist, go back to your favorite Gaga songs… There are million things you can commit to, instead of using energy for hyperboles. 

I enjoy this forum so much when it is filled with thoughtful criticism, humor and intelligence. How can we sustain a healthy online platform?  I just don't want this forum to become X. Do you have any suggestions? Or is this just how things are now?

This is the one thing I've always hated about this fanbase - it's filled with so many people who, despite spending all their free time in a Gaga forum, have very little reverence for Gaga's work or interest in her creative process.

Sometimes I feel like I'm all alone on here tbh,  we're about to get a surprise companion album to a role that was clearly very inspiring for her, that features TWO (!!!!) Judy Garland covers. As a day one monster, this is a dream come true, and it baffles me how anyone could be a fan of this woman and not be excited by that.

Somewhere around Born This Way the fandom shifted and started leaning into making fun of her. Sure, it's mostly been lighthearted, and I'm fully capable of laughing at her lmao but there's a lot of serious aspects in her creative output that deserve attention and celebration too.

We objectively stan one of the greatest and most celebrated pop artists of our generation, but half the time you wouldn't be able to tell because almost no one on GGD or any other gathering spot of Gaga fans talks about the near 20 years of music, videos, costumes, stage productions she's put out into the world. Instead all they do is whine about what they want now and how long it takes to get it.

tbh this website is always going to be like that... some people are bad at expressing their opinions but some people are smart enough to word it maturely

i took a break from this site when Shallow released cus it got major backlash over really stupid sh*t like audience noise being in the song will "stop it being a hit" and now... 

people absolutely should worry less about something maybe being a hit (and brushing it off cus it sounds like it won't be) and focus more on how they're enjoying it as a piece of art

another thing - everyone should wait for the final product before jumping to conclusions and shitting on everything. 

the reactions here when the DWAS cover and the fact that it was described as “a ballad” were insane. And here we are now - it’s an insane smash and everyone who doubted is giving joker, jester, flop.

I've unironically seen more monsters complain on here than on atrl when it's usually the reverse. Actually, the whole pre-LG7 cycle has had its fair share of ups and down, but the base on that site is way more positive about her projects and releases than this site. Which is wild because again, that's not how it's historically been. I don't know what it is, but GGD as a whole just feels a lot more...pessimistic...about her projects.

I love it when they moan and complain about anything she puts out that resembles a ballad or jazz, as if her entire career wasn't built on her musicality and ability to turn anything into a piano bar moment

I mean it's an online forum, there will constantly be those who complain behind there keyboards be it phone or computer. But I agree since the BTW era, which she introduced some corny self love antics that departed from her previous mysterious, artsy demeanor. Since then some fans have grabbed that and use it against her whenever she puts out something they don't agree or vibe with.

She's still so extremely genuine and puts so much love into her work as a celebrity. Those who have a hard time seeing her outgrow her weird box she got known for at the begging of her career are just self projecting there own issues with adapting to change.

Would it make a difference to have a mature section where rules are stricter on posting troll type of posts and replies for those who want to genuinely discuss her career?

Just put the brats on ignore. Since sometimes now, I'm just skimming the threads and bypass everything complaints and restless rants about her. Just wait and see. She'll never disappoint in the field. We have to trust her, that's all.

I agree. But every artist since the dawn of time has had to deal with criticism/rejection. I don't mind people voicing their opinion, as long as it makes sense and isn't meant to be destructive.
