Harlequin Tracklist: How Many Original Songs?

This is for you little detectives; just so we understand better what we’re getting with this album…

Does someone know how many tracks are covers? Like That’s Life and Smile? Do you know? Considering also the ones that will be in the movie (which I don’t know about)

I appreciate the help, I need to let the hype out with something

Here we have a partially definitive answer from LGS:

”We have the *SOUNDTRACK OF THE MOVIE* and we have *HARLEQUIN*, and one has nothing to do with the other. Despite some connection, *HARLEQUIN* is a *LADY Gaga PROJECT RELATED TO THE MOVIE*, but it is *NOT* the movie’s soundtrack, especially since that was already announced last month (please, right?).

In *HARLEQUIN*, we will have *ORIGINAL SONGS* and also *NEW VERSIONS/REINTERPRETATIONS* of songs that already exist. It seems there are 4 original songs, and the others are reinterpretations (not confirmed).

For example: the preview “Moondust” is from “World on a String.” From this, you can already tell that the songs will be different, as the instrumental has NOTHING TO DO with the original song and vice versa.

Another point worth highlighting: Benjamin Rice is alone with Gaga in the production of *HARLEQUIN*, meaning EVERYTHING will be different from the movie soundtrack, especially since he’s not involved in any of the *Joker 2* projects.

I would say originals are — Good Morning, Folie À Deux, Happy Mistakes

I have a feeling Get Happy (2024) is too.

All are titles of famous jazz songs except Folie a Deux, which is her own song and apparently and instrumental walz. Happy mistake doesn't sound familiar to me, but i assume it is a classic as well?

But who knows what she did with these songs sonically? Maybe she put a completely different spin on them.

Either they‘re almost all covers, or they’re ALL originals.

Especially if those clips are the songs people say, cause those are defs not the standards.

I think theyre all covers except the one title folie a deux , but I think that is an instrumental track

She probably sampled the old one and wrote new verses for Get Happy.

I am thinking 3 original songs, Good Morning, FAD and Happy Mistakes while FAD is an instrumental. Get Happy is a sampled song and the rest are re-imagined songs with a rock sound.
