She sounds incredible, the production is amazing but I don't like it, for some reason :traumatica: I'm sad :traumatica:

Harley been a jazz/funk/blues for decades though

like i have stated before i'm well aware of that

however gár's interpretation of harley is something that has never been done before according to herself so it wasn't a reach to expect her take on what an album by the character would sound/look like

I'm not going to listen to the album until it's out for me, but I'm so excited to hear Happy Mistake :bradley: People are calling it one of her best ballads and her ballads are my favorites :tony:

Yes the album cover might be abit misleading with grundgy vulnerable imagery as the album is heavy on the jazz/soul with a little grunge rock influence but I interpret it as while Harlequin’s life is a mess, these jazz music what truly keeps her sane and how she sees her world within - hence contrasting to “You’re listening to Harlequin Radio” this is album is based on Harlequin’s perspective internally but not externally.

Gaga sounds amazing, her delivery is something we haven’t heard before and production is 110% - i much prefer Harlequin than L4S or even C2C (which i loved at the time)

This album is 100% the reason why vinyls are a thing as I can see myself listening to it as a whole while cooking cleaning etc..

standouts: The Joker, World on a String, Close To You, Happy Mistake, That’s Life, Smile & If My Friends Could See me Now

Cavadour

Stellar arrangements, jumping from mixed old school to modern influences, with styles going from cabaret jazz, burlesque and variety to soul, gospel, blues and pinches of rock, this gaudy album radiates an incredible range of emotions.

The motley collection of songs is here to reflect the nature of her character in J2 and is aptly called companion album of the movie. In this side project, one of those many she’s used to shine in, besides bringing old carnival and Gotham-like derelict fairgrounds back to exuberant life, it’s her incredible vocal feat that stands tall among anything else. She sounds so happy to sing like never. And her voice has matured yet again.

Harlequin is a nifty appetizer before J2 and a well-endowed nightcap to keep us on toes while waiting for LG7.

Faves, in order of album appearance:

- Good Morning
- Oh, When The Saints
- Smile
- The Joker
- Gonna Build A Mountain
- Happy Mistake

Late to the party but I got a diamond heart

If she ever remasters Joanne album then I pray it'll in same vein as "Harlequin".

Remasters are done with old albums that were mastered with analog technology and if there's room for improvement with digital technology. Mastering makes minimal changes, it's like polishing silver cutlery, getting it ready to go to the table. I doubt Joanne will ever need a "repolish".
