And that's not because of the lyrics, which are fine, or the melody ... it's her voice, her delivery. It is exquisite, absolutely glorious. And that leads me on to make the point that the music I want to hear from her is whatever showcases that voice to best effect. And that's why I love this album, because it meets that criterion. She has said herself that she has done stuff on this album that Tony wouldn't have approved of. It ain't a jazz album. Gaga has one of the best voices in the history of rock n roll imo, way better than just 'very good', and this album suggests to me that ideally there would be a Gaga recording of every classic song out there, because in many cases her version would be the best, and the world deserves to have it. But still looking forward to LG7 for all that. PS. This keeps happening to me. Someone else has just done the Happy Mistake praise while I was typing. Too slow, TOO SLOW. Her vocals really feel special on this album. There are some songs on it I used to actively dislike because they were used to teach English at my school. (Like I have a very active memory of having to sing Oh, When The Saints in 6th grade and my teacher telling me to only lip synch when we perform in front of the parents because he said my voice was so horrible it was dragging the class down But I like Gaga's version.) Her delivery is really emotional, passionate and enthusiastic, especially in Happy Mistake and That's Life imo. 2
Togekiss 2,337
Has anyone else noticed how BOOMING the bass is on Smile? It almost feels like it’s foreshadowing the intensity coming on The Joker. building a daydream 1

Battle 4 Ur Life 6,337
now that I’ve breathed and listened… faves: The Joker - periodt (can we get a scoop of whatever that flavor is into LG7? thank you. amazing.) That’s Life: Queen of vocals and Jazz. probably my fave Jazz track from her Folie a Deux: I will go to a Bridgerton Ball pop up event if they play this song and I get to dance. lmao. insanely beautiful and a vibe Happy Mistake: I didn’t know what to expect or to say when I first heard it but it got stuck in my head. very intimate and artistic and this experimental flavor that puts it in between genres makes it sound bold and clever. also faves with no further comments That’s Entertainment: I MUST comment on this one tho because It gave me mad “Chicago” and the instrumental is just so sharp and professional. I felt like I was in Vegas. vocally it has that theater/cinematic playfulness where she can literally “act” with her singing voice (“where a chap kills his mother and causes a lot of bother”) where she has recently done it in DWAS also (“ooooh, LOOST. LOST + IN + THE WORDS THAT WE SCREAM…” and I completely love that she doesn’t force it.) Close to You World on A String Get Happy Smile If My Friends Could See Me Now the rest of the album is just as well produced and nice to listen to even if they’re meant to be a bit filler they work because of cohesion and diversity in the genres and arrangements. Amazing! 8.5 or 4/5 Stars 🌟 Edited September 28 by Battle 4 Ur Life Smash With a Smile

Find something better to do with your time than coming here to post your irrelevant opinions. I'm in because it was said LG7 would be something worth listening to it. Before the announcement I haven't been here for a good 4 years. All opinions are relevant. Judas is coming. Let the cultural baptism begin. And it's already been confirmed that it's Pop. In the meantime, just enjoy the best of the album if you can. Tbh a lot of tracks really grown on you. HM is a total banger - when you listen on a speaker with good bass, it is literally mind blowing. Or if you don't like the album at all, just enjoy her old stuff or other artists music until LG7 comes 😁 I may play dawn, it was such an amazing remix album Judas is coming. Oh we love hypocrisy. If you read my post, you'll understand that I'm attacking the ones who are forcing to like something they don't like. I know it can click for a lot of people and be exactly what they enjoy and want, that's fine. What gets under my skin is the people (I was one of them) that do not care about jazz in the slightest and still forced themselves to like Cheek to Cheek because its their favorite artist. All I'm trying to say is that its ok to not like something. You don't have to enjoy all the flavors of your favorite chocolate brand, and you don't have to enjoy all the albums being released. Judas is coming. Let the cultural baptism begin.
