Gonna build a Mountain left me in awe. Such a soul moment for Gaga! The Joker is great. But Happy Mistake is so so beautiful. It’s a moment that shows a completely different side and layer to Gaga that can really appeal to a much different audience. Overall the album has been a grower for me. Upon first listen The Joker and Happy Mistake grabbed me. However, Close to You and Folie A Deux are also spectacular. Now I also really enjoy World on a String and Smile. The others are really starting to pull me in and I understand this album so much more and appreciate it. I feel Happy Mistake and The Joker could be sent to rock and alternative radio stations and receive airplay. Definitely has the potential to reach different audiences than her traditional work.
