Not exactly. The vocals are the same, but I would say the trailer version is more epic Chromatic, Chromatic, put your hands all over my colors. 1

Given the vibes and aesthetics of Joker, jazz is a huge component of that. I just have a feeling people are overstating it and when we all listen to it, it’ll be fine. I seriously don’t trust GGD to differentiate between genres But again, I wouldn’t have a problem if it was all jazz. I love her jazz projects Oh it clearly fits the vibe of the joker ! Honestly she did a great job and her voice sounds amazing ! I wasn't expecting anything else from this side project.

Takox 275
Happy Mistake has that magic of TF/TFM unreleased ballads, don't know how to explain it. Crying in the second listening. See the world with me 2 1

Poltergeist 3,337
It's definitely not the type of music I'd listen to every day, but it's really good! There's lots of jazz, but for me, it's a wayyyy more digestible type of jazz than C2C or L4S. Way more theatrical, sometimes a bit Disney-like, and the vocals are impeccable. My favs are: The Joker (which is most outstanding sonically), Oh, When The Saints, Happy Mistake and World On A String probably. I've been getting messages from my deep waters
gerrygaga 2,708
Anybody who is an expert can determine the wind instruments used per song? I'm so curious, that's gorgeous production. Her "Smile" reminds me of "Nature Boy" from Cheek To Cheek.

Yup, it's more of a modern take on Jazz and though most people won't replay it, it has this "quality" vibe that i think can surprise us in the long run. 2
MANiCURE 6 10,195
It could have been a strong EP honestly. Spoiler 1. Get Happy 2. Oh, When The Saints 3. World On A String 4. Smile 5. The Joker 6. Close To You 7. Happy Mistake

Definitely. And now that I think of it, it’s the perfect album to play on vinyl. I know, for what feels like 90% of fans vinyls have become just another article of merchandise, but I do love putting them one, having them play in the background while cooking or doing laundry and stuff and this record is perfect. It gives you so much variety and I think you’ll never be mad when a song comes on, eventho you probably wouldn’t (at least I) put them on willingly because you drive to work or take a shower. cant waaaaaait for that stunning beauty being delivered in a few weeks, I think I’ll be playing it a lot 🥰 Edited September 26 by bpmMonkey 1 2
