No one is saying that, yet some folks are shadowboxing for their lives over it. Really bizarre stuff.
bowlsofbrett 379
There’s nothing wrong with finding a celebrity unlikable. There’s nothing wrong with calling out something egregious. In my opinion, her so-called “bad” moments pale in comparison to actual terrible things going on in the industry. It’s even funnier when others compare her “bad” moments to something else completely insane. I hope Chappell is getting all the care she needs and is surrounding herself with the right people. We’ve seen far too many women in this industry eaten up and spit out (Britney, Lindsay Lohan, Amy Winehouse, Whitney, Marilyn Monroe, etc) due to their lack of support. Chappell doesn’t have to always ‘smile’ and pretend everything is alright. Those women mentioned above weren't always “saying the right things” or “behaving the correct way” and the public made sure to rake them over the coals for doing so. We look back at their situations and think “What could we have done better?” Again, there’s nothing wrong with disliking someone. We don’t have to love everyone. There are plenty of celebrities I don’t care about, but I’m not going to add further commentary to their narrative just because I don’t like their personality. There are more important things to comment on when it comes to celebrities. For instance, hate speech, sexual assault accusations, murder, etc.

That's why I'm not saying that Chappell Roan should be deplatformed. I'm not actively campaigning for her to lose her career. I, like a bunch of other people, simply think that she is not very likeable, and it would probably be on her best interest to avoid unnecessary public appearances. Live shows, videos and song releases, without the interviews, red carpets, etc, would be more beneficial for her mental health, than doing the whole package, in my personal opinion. That's what I'm saying, and that's what the alleged "hate-train" is saying. I just don't think that's "hate" . I think is great to see people being mindful of celebrities mental health, but some of y'all are overdoing it; saying that she comes across as "off-putting" is not a hate train, she's not the Pope, she can be criticized like everyone else, lol. That is clearly an indication that one aspect of her life is still functioning. One criteria for mental illness is difficulties in functioning. She may not function well in aspects I'm not aware of but in terms of work, she is still doing well. Tell me you have zero understanding of mental health conditions without telling me you have zero understanding of mental health conditions. T/w: Suicide & Self Harm Spoiler I once was struggling so badly in university during my first degree that I tried to k*ll myself. Do you know when I tried? The day after I completed my highest ever marked assignment in university, a 15 minute presentation in front of my seminar group. I got a 1st class mark in it. I was functioning brilliantly outwardly while internally I was on full shutdown. Had a friend actually take their own life 2 days after his team won the sports league we played in. He was the star player of the season. No one had any idea he had fully planned out taking his own life or that he was struggling in the slightest. So please shut the **** up with this horrific dimissive nonsense that because a person is "functioning" they can't be mentally unwell.

I thought I was talking about Chappell and this comes out of nowhere. Surely did not sign up for this and now my mental health was wrecked by this revelation. Take care my friend. Your mental health is a lot more important than my opinion about celebrities.
Super 891
If it's true – I hope she feels better soon. But this is typical PR move. Lizzo did the same.
Gohan 16,089
I said it before many times but finally she's going to therapy, it was a call for help since all of those interviews were published one after the other. That being said I still wonder if her management is to blame something ala Tr*y Cart*r because she was out there being completely manic and then moments of absolute calmness YET no one in her team seemed to do anything I don't like her music nor her personality but something seemed off since the beginning of 2024 and thank God she's finally getting the help she needs, it's a long journey not just a little bit of therapy. She has the same Bipolar II diagnosis as Demi Lovato and Azelia Banks as far as I remember. tryna go ask Alice, tryna catch that rabbit

Fck I luv Art 901
Too bad... Y'all bullying her for complaining have serious issues. Why are they ignoring the fact that fame is artificial and that some sensitive ppl just want their art to have visibility, not their private life.
