Agreed. People can't undersell her talent just because she's creatively bankrupt and working with an alleged monster.

She was an icon at one point and it wasn't an accident. Maybe she'll learn from this and actually try next time.

She has a decent voice but she isn’t a powerhouse, but where she has always excelled is appealing to the masses and having near perfect GP friendly pop music. The GP doesn’t care about her relationship with DR Luke so it begs the question What has gone so terribly wrong? Unfortunately it is the music and the clear and blatant lack lustre the album has. It feels like she was contractually obliged to put this out, I can’t hear any passion or creativity in the songs. 
I’ll listen to a few of them as they’re nice pop songs to have in a playlist but it’s not a project I’m wowed by

This is very interesting. She indeed still refuses to change her sound. Harleys In Hawaii is by far her most successful song since CTTR, and that's because it's a quite unique song in her discography, very chill vibes from the song and video. It's doesn't feel like a Katy Perry song.

All the songs she has released after OOTB could fit on the same album, except maybe the pop-rock tracks from TD.

Now saying that her vocals is one of her strong points is totally wrong

That’s not really on topic though, or at least it’s not what I was talking about. You rarely (if not never) become famous with just great live vocals, you become a star with smash hits and a recognizable identity. Katy’s voice is incredibly recognizable, like Rihanna’s, Shakira’s or even Adele’s or Amy’s in a more talented register. Their voices are brands on their own. Gaga on the other hand is suuuuper talented, but her voice isn’t a brand. The GP doesn’t really know what she sounds like. You can’t imitate her. She had her aesthetics to compensate that. I don’t know if what I wrote makes sense but I understand myself
