This is why she’s a real gay icon, much more than other artists out there who are allies. The vast majority of straight people out there (and many gays) would never be able to make such a connection or logic in their minds.

It's on episode 2 of Bill Gates new series but their conversation is literally mixed in throughout the episode. It's terrible if you just watch it for Gaga. There's like three segments of God during the episode. I was only a casual observer of Gaga in her early days, but she definitely played the androgyny card a bit. I don't think Glastonbury was a part of that though. Sliding off the bike and showing her crotch was definitely done deliberately, but I don't think she was trying to make people think she had a hen's husband, she was just being sexy.

i mean it wasn't also like she deliberately planned this specific moment, or she wanted it be a headliner in the tabloids or anything lol, of course wearing that latex skintight dress was deliberate and she knew her crotch would be visible to the audience with all the dancing and movement, but i'd rather say this moment was mostly improv and accidental, as it seems she didn't dress rehearse with the motorcycle and stuff, and she came up with this in the moment, she was just being herself and performing, and that strong sexual component was just part of her performance, i mean later in it she also goes topless and nobody really cared, also this was no different at all to other shows, or the fame ball where you get full views of her crotch too lol, ppl just latched on to this particular image to try to discredit her with the hermaphrodite rumors, just as they used other images as well, this one just stuck the most.
