Off to the cinema to watch Last Rites this afternoon, gays. Hyped! Re-watched the first Conjuring the other night and I forgot what a damn masterpiece it was. I wasn't too keen on the second and the less said about the third the better.

God it was awful. It's so far removed from what made the first one so incredibly effective that it's actually quite sad.

Thankfully, yes!

I won't get into spoilers but the overuse of CGI Slop was borderline embarrassing

I didn’t hate it (story wise) and honestly thought it was very typical Hollywood film. Would I watch it again? Probably, though some parts are too laughable imo

Yeah… You’d think they would go back to what made the original creepy but they overused the CGI imo… Nothing amazing imo! Though I will say, I was entertained

It is the last one! I would still watch it but maybe wait until the hype dies down unless you have a membership (like I do)

My career is in cgi but I almost always hate it in horror, and the worst parts of the Conjuring 2 and Annabelle Comes Home were the cgi moments

I have and I think it's good! There are some super dark scenes there and my only critique is that the use of CGI isn't really that great. I didn't really like the monster in Episode 1 but Episode 2 had some good scenes, so I am kind of interested in seeing how the season develops. 

I know I am asking a lot considering the state of TV shows these days, but I really wish they wrap up and deliver a great season and not end on a cliffhanger in which case we would wait 2+ years for a 2nd season which.....isn't ideal....

I honestly was really gagged at the first 2 offerings I've kept myself entirely in the dark about the show, so I am very pleased with where it's going thus far

For me, you can never go wrong with The Hills Have Eyes, Trick R Treat and Silent Hill, however it is the first time I've watched the REC movies and I will say, I loved them!

Also one of the segments in VHS Halloween left me feeling some type of way

I actually did see The Hills Have Eyes for the first time during this marathon! Which one did you prefer? The 2000s remake or the original? I honestly have no idea, both of them are kind of good but I definitely didn't expect them to be so dark and graphic. I have seen Silent Hill a while ago so I might rewatch that soon, and I have never seen Trick R Treat so I will add that to my watchlist!

The REC franchise is REALLY GOOD. The original is probably one of my favorite zombie movies of all time! The sequels can get a bit wild but I still find them entertaining.
