I thought it was like a fantasy adventure movie. IT'S TERRIFYINGLY SCARY Spoiler It's not scary at all lol it's a horror comedy. It's silly but still worth a watch. I was joking because technically it falls under the horror genre, but I did actually enjoy it And yes it's Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd playing father and daughter Edited May 25 by hELXIG I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
Pandacadabra 8,547
Fear Street: Prom Queen I might have to rewatch the Fear Street Trilogy (I literally dont remember) to see where this ranks but overall it was a good fun watch. I think the prom aspect of the movie was definitely more entertaining which was the 2nd half, compared to the 1st half. There was one kill in particular that I was impressed with, others are fine. As this is a teen movie, a lot of scenes did not resonate with me at all and I found them cringey but I'm sure young souls would relate to it. Its very mid with what I've watched this year, not great but also not the worst (The Monkey, Heart Eyes). A lot of people are saying props to A24 for taking risks and just making random movies because they want to, and praising it for being a unique idea and not a sequel or remake like most of Hollywood now, which I also agree with. Idk though I'm not hugely judgemental of movies so I enjoyed it. You justhave to go for the ride and not overthink it. I laughed a lot I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

weed 73,197
I saw Bloodlines this morning (10am showing lol) and it was good! a lot of great kills, some twists, a lot of predictability but maybe that's just my own problem. I thought it was really good overall. I think maybe.. too much yet not enough family/bloodlines stuff? like yes she predicted it back then, she's crazy, etc but why her?? why did death give her the vision?? idk.. they wanna get all into "we're born into this plan" etc but why them. and then like "her place is the safest ever" but is it? a lamp was moved or reflected the sun and she had to be 24/7 vigilant to catch it burning the rope. and then "tricking death makes it messy" isn't her grandma staying in a house forever or her mom leaving them as a child tricking death? make a plane crash into the house, deadly tornado, etc etc. I know i'm being picky but it bothers me lol overall.... 8.4/10 and even then I'm like hmm.. 8.4 sounds cute (as in kind of arbitrary) Edited May 26 by weed 1

That movie… creeped me out, it was gross and very ****ed up. The special effects team did amazing because it left me disturbed. I’m still processing it This is spoilery so maybe u can DM me, but is this movie one of those with super bleak depressing endings?

HausOfHarlow 380
I got to see Bring Her Back during a 'screen unseen' event at AMC Theaters almost 2 weeks prior to official release and I must say - it was so good!! Not very jump scary (there were still a few) but it was super graphic and body horror leaning and the storyline was provoking and captivating. Well worth a watch!
