28 Years Later - New Trailer

Clown In A Cornfield - Official Trailer --- I watched this one a few nights ago at the drive-in :huntyga: It was cute!

I Know What You Did Last Summer - Official Trailer

HIM - Official Teaser

Bring Her Back - Official Trailer

Weapons - Official Trailer

That’s cool that u got to see 28 years later and IKWYDLS!  Was the second one similar to the Scream reboot? Was it scary or funny?

Yes! They made me sign NDA’s so I can’t really say much (trust me, I wish I could :messga:). I can say I definitely laughed though!

Weapons looks promising! Will definitely check it out in my local cinema (if they decide to play it there)

Until then, this is Elvira saying unpleasant dreams.

Plastic Flower

I watched Sinners too, last friday. :poot:

1. I really enjoyed it, mostly the historical elements to the story. A really good film.

2. One thing I HATE is them showing images of the events that occur during the climax at the very beginning. I’m okay with movies starting at the final scene but DON'T SHOW ME HOW YOU GOT THERE LIKE THAT.

3. The part I cared for the least was the vampire stuff :ladyhaha:  Idk I guess I liked Nosferatu better

4. That was horny

The Woman In The Yard

This movie was more sad, than scary. I honestly dont know what else to say, it was good but I wasnt as frightened as I wanted to be.

I just saw Sinners.  I thought it was a great movie. The atmosphere, the acting, the music, and the vibes are immaculate.  It’s not very scary but I enjoyed it.

I just saw this post randomly pop up on my feed from a studio called Red Scream Films Studio, with this list written by David R. Williams  I thought it was an interesting list! I haven’t seen any of these but maybe people on here might be interested:

Forget your neatly manicured lists and auteur vanity trophies. The real horror of the ’80s oozed in the corners…moldy, misshapen, uncared for. Films that whispered blasphemies into the VHS hiss. Films that were too weird to live, too haunted to die. They didn’t want to scare you. They wanted to infect you.

1980s Lost Horror Gems - “This Ain’t Prestige, This Is Pus”

1. Angst (1983)
Not a horror film so much as a brain aneurysm in real time. Imagine if a snuff film was shot by a manic-depressive German philosopher with a Steadicam. This Austrian masterpiece puts you in the killer’s jittery shoes and never lets you leave. The soundtrack is Tangerine Dream’s ugly cousin on meth. After watching it, I locked my door and apologized to the night.

2. The Slayer (1982)
Shot like a dream where the ocean eats your face. It’s sleep paralysis with fog machines. Everyone talks like they're underwater and dies like they're being erased from reality. Art-horror posing as slasher bait, and it works, mostly because you feel like you’re trapped in a painting that hates you.

3. Next of Kin (1982)
Australia's answer to “The Shining”, if “The Shining” had the budget of a haunted toilet and more dread than plot. Gothic nursing home paranoia. Someone dies every ten minutes but it feels like time is melting around you. And then the finale slaps you with fire, blood, and pure what-the-hell fury. It’s the film equivalent of drifting off on Quaaludes and waking up on fire.

4. Dark Waters (1989) (a.k.a. Temnye vody)
Not the 1990s one—this is the Soviet one you’re not supposed to find. Think Tarkovsky got possessed by Lovecraft in a leaky monastery. Long, rotting corridors. Nuns with secrets. Water everywhere. It’s the slowest apocalypse you’ll ever drown in.

5. Xtro (1982)
“Alien” meets Freudian nightmare in a British hellflat. There’s a birth scene involving a full-grown man crawling out of a woman in reverse. A child with psychic powers kills a clown toy and turns a soldier figurine into a real death machine. You want logic? Go read a cereal box. “Xtro” is punk rock body horror from a dimension where nothing loves you and the milk is always spoiled.

Bonus Shout-Outs:

Eyes of Fire (1983) - Folk horror on a shoestring, like The Crucible on acid.

Dead & Buried (1981) - Small-town hospitality, necrophilia optional.

The Keep (1983) - Michael Mann's moody Nazi vampire synth-spectacle. Makes no sense, looks gorgeous.

Mausoleum (1983) - Green-glowing demon boobs. That’s all. That’s the movie.

Personally I loooove the adaptation for Silent Hill (2006). To this day is one of my favorite horror movies out there. (May be emotional attachment, idk :ladyhaha:)

What kind of horror are you into? I’m sure a lot of us can help suggest something! @Fantina is great and so is @Pandacadabra but everyone here knows their horror :holdmyhand:
