What disappointed you? Actually don’t tell me yet. Sooooo... What did you think? On 3/25/2025 at 1:42 AM, Fantina said: I saw Presence recently and idk, I didn't really enjoy it that much. I felt like it definitely needed something to make the movie more engaging and interesting. I feel it! Though I will say, I loved the whole concept and felt interested all throughout lol Idk if I'd watch it again though lol On 3/25/2025 at 8:16 PM, Duella Dvil said: ...I- I live in Seattle. THAT WAS TRAUMATIC JUST AS I THOUGHT Haha! But that means the movie looks promising, right? lol On 3/26/2025 at 10:53 AM, Pandacadabra said: The Monkey.. I would like to know if anyone has seen it and loved it. The trailer of the movie did not make it seem that it was a horror/comedy. Maybe I wouldve received it better if I expected the comedy aspect. I dont know, I was barely scared. It just seemed like a Black Mirror / Room 104 / American Horror Stories episode. The writing at times felt like Ryan Murphy wrote the script as well. Now I am curious to read the source material by Stephen King if its close to what this was or not. The ads for the movie and reviews says its the best adaptation since Stephen King's "It" and I just think thats a lie. I didnt like this movie at all. I would put this at the bottom of the list of all the 2025 horror movies I have seen so far. I wasn't a big fan of The Monkey... I loved the concept but I feel like the sarcasm/jokes are over the top and sometimes they were just... there. I wanted to read the short story but now... Not so much lol 7 hours ago, Panchecco said: are we really??? I think this was already released when it was released at home! I could definitely see this being turned into a TV Show or something. Until then, this is Elvira saying unpleasant dreams.

It fell into the trap of so many “horror comedies”, it wasn’t funny enough to be a real comedy but it also wasn’t scary enough to be a horror movie. The two things work against each other. The deaths were so over the top I did laugh sometimes, but it was not scary at all at all. It was like a violent cartoon.
Duella Dvil 10,418
Saw Woman in the Yard and walked out of it really satisfied, it's VERY ****ing depressing unexpectedly so. Like I ugly cried at the end and my friend and my husband and I sat in cheesecake factory in silence for like 5 minutes because we were just processing it. Very good. 6 out of 10 Only because it didn't feel like you NEEDED to see it in the theater and the trailer does NAWT do it justice. It is FAR more cerebral than you expect www.instagram.com/theduella666 2

Pandacadabra 8,547
Hell of a Summer, is a camp-slasher film. The whole movie just kept reminding me of Scream and Friday the 13th. Is it unique or one of the best? No, I dont think so. Its a fun, good enough of a slasher film, not too bad but nothing remarkable also. The young actor from Stranger Things that Will has a crush on, and the actor who was on season 1 of The White Lotus stars in it. No one else seemed familiar to me.. 1

imnotyourbabe10 6,093
How have I missed the intersection of GGD and horror? Was on a horror kick last week - would def. recommend all the following: - When Evil Lurks: very eerie, grotesque and bleak - Caveat: this director is so good at tension building. This and Oddity are some of my most recent favorite for edge of seat tension/covering my eyes for usually nothing, haha. - Hagazussa: Germany's answer to The Witch. More of a feminist commentary on motherhood and the female experience of living on the margins of an agrarian society. - Sinners: Really liked it. Was a little hyped up for me and didn't realize what type of horror it was going in. Loved the music and cultural intersections. Runtime was a bit drawn out. Glad to come across this thread - and hope it keeps poppin'
